i see it! do you know the difference between 3 and 4 years?

Interesting, I just saw that in her letter. She gets 3 years of housing.
Coming from California that makes me nervous.
I imagine off-campus housing may be easy to find?

DD rejected
She’s cool with it. Probably going to one of the UCs.

Congrats to all who were accepted!

3 years for my class of ‘26 son. My sophomore BC student had 4 years but still going off campus next year. Most juniors want to live off campus. The 3 vs 4 years is just luck it is not based on anything.

Most kids live on campus three years. Junior year they live off. Apartments are passed down. Back to campus senior year to live in senior housing is tradition. When our D was accepted last year, she got four years housing. We asked and they said something about top 20 percent of admits offered that. When we looked into it more, lots of students who are offered four years don’t take it because they end up friends with kids who cannot live on campus junior year so they just live off campus with them!

This process is crazy. My DS was rejected from BC this afternoon but was accepted to Rice. There is no rhyme or reason. All of our kids have worked hard and this convinces me that their hard work will pay off. Best of luck to everyone here. It will all work out.

That’s not true. We talked to admissions last year and they told us they choose who gets the four years and it’s supposed to entice the top admits

This is absolutely ridiculous and an extremely frustrating process. Congrats to your son for getting into Rice

The are lots of off campus housing options. The is an office of office of off campus housing at BC to help students navigate the process. I suggest giving them a call, they can be very helpful.

Most juniors live off campus and return to campus senior year. Many with 4 years of housing choose to live off campus to be with friends junior year.

It has been such a crazy application cycle for these kids, and each school is looking for something specific. All of kids are wonderful, or they wouldn’t be applying to schools like BC.

Congratulations to all who were accepted, and to those who weren’t, best of luck in your college decisions!!
