Best CC threads of all time?

For those of us who have been here a while, what are your all time favorite College Confidential threads? I have a few to nominate:

The legendary “clam farts” discussion.

A truly precise college ranking system.

The newest nominee for best thread title.

Which would you nominate?

I vote for the ceramic pineapple roomie thread!

Although the clam farts is hilarious, we still don’t know if that was for real or not. Here, we have seen the evidence!

^Yes! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parent-cafe/2011338-roommate-brought-22-pillows-4-lamps-7-towels-and-a-large-ceramic-pineapple.html#latest

Another runner up! The COLONOSCOPY thread. I cite it every time a newbie kid sticks their head into parental cafe and asks why we are discussing things not related to collleges.

I love the “Say it here cause you can’t say it directly” thread. Some of those posts make me laugh out loud. Especially trying to imagine the situation that was occurring.

The allegedly “hard core” Diet/Exercise threat that was started in 2009.

The Hard Core thread is the winner in the non-college related category, for sure.

And then I really enjoyed a thread that was started maybe a year or 2 ago on beauty products…I wish i could find it now…but it gave me the most amazing skin cream suggestion of all time (still use it) and face scrub (ditto). For someone like me who sort of missed the make-up/dress-up gene, it was invaluable.

The quadruplets were on the today show this morning. I saw it teased but didn’t see the segment

They were talking about them taking Yale by storm

Help with unusual roommate issue.

We’ve certainly had some funny threads and some excellent informational threads (colonoscopy thread is a great example), but also some that have really touched a number of us like those by LatetoSchool and SunriseEast.

I’ll never forget SunriseEast’s thread.

So a unique situation will get into Yale, Harvard, and Stanford with a 29 ACT.

I get the whole building a class idea. But really plenty of students are wasting an application fee.

sunriseeast should be on the list for sure.
I liked the thread that called out nice things CC:ers did for others, but I can’t find it.
For example, I remember someone (@oldfort?) purchased shoes for a young man who had an interview and couldn’t afford them.

I agree about the pineapple thread. That was supposed to be #3, the best new thread!

@coralbrook 's flip threads are beyond wonderful, but surely THIS has to be the Thread of Threads:

^I’d like to take responsibility for that, but honesty insists I admit that even though I started it–the collective brilliance of other posters made it what it is. (I’m still very proud of it though!)
