Another runner up! The COLONOSCOPY thread. I cite it every time a newbie kid sticks their head into parental cafe and asks why we are discussing things not related to collleges.
I love the “Say it here cause you can’t say it directly” thread. Some of those posts make me laugh out loud. Especially trying to imagine the situation that was occurring.
And then I really enjoyed a thread that was started maybe a year or 2 ago on beauty products…I wish i could find it now…but it gave me the most amazing skin cream suggestion of all time (still use it) and face scrub (ditto). For someone like me who sort of missed the make-up/dress-up gene, it was invaluable.
We’ve certainly had some funny threads and some excellent informational threads (colonoscopy thread is a great example), but also some that have really touched a number of us like those by LatetoSchool and SunriseEast.
sunriseeast should be on the list for sure.
I liked the thread that called out nice things CC:ers did for others, but I can’t find it.
For example, I remember someone (@oldfort?) purchased shoes for a young man who had an interview and couldn’t afford them.
^I’d like to take responsibility for that, but honesty insists I admit that even though I started it–the collective brilliance of other posters made it what it is. (I’m still very proud of it though!)
