My all time favorite “It’s raining men”!

Sent from my SGH-T989 using CC

I like to listen to these songs when I’m working out.

Taio Cruz - Dynamite
Shakira - Hips Dont Lie
Shakira - Whenever, Wherever
Black Eyed Peas - Rock That Body
Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling
Rihanna - Don’t Stop The Music
Kanye West - Stronger
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Snow
White Stripes - Seven Nation Army

The songs make feel as if I’m going “harder, better, faster, stronger” even if I’m not.

Theme from Rocky 1 when jogging !
I Wish----Stevie Wonder
China Grove-- Doobie Bros.
Undun— Guess Who
Rock & Roll— Zepplin
Stepping out— Joe Jackson
Billy Jean— M. Jackson
Smooth Operator— Sade

It’s easy selecting songs for a workout when for an individual working out at home alone. If a college football coach allows his team to play songs over speakers at practices, a player committee is needed to pick songs so all the players don’t spend the whole practice arguing which rap, hip hop, heavy metal, and country-western songs to play!

Ok…I finished listening to veruca’s play list. I liked most of the songs. I am not looking towards Latin songs, but I guess I never know.

Also some songs that I am not sure about might grow on me like Dog Days are Over.

Parts of that song are pretty slow… But maybe.

Anyway veruca, thanks for your songs.

I am going to work myself up the list. Or is it down the list. Musicamusica’s choice is next.

Edit…Yeah…musicamusica’s choice is not going to work. The bpm is a little low…until the last few seconds or so… Lol.

Roadrunner is not going to work either…some of you work out at a pretty slow pace. :)

I am looking for stuff where you can dance pretty damn fast…there can be a build up…but it better pick up…or the song is going into the trash. :)

Or maybe they don’t work out to the beat!

I’ve been meaning to put together a new exercise list, I’d like some newer selections, though I like my oldies list. The only newer stuff I listen to (and it probably does meet dstark’s bpm requirements) is metal that ds likes. I really like Volbeat. [Volbeat - Heaven Nor Hell - YouTube](<a href=“Volbeat - Heaven Nor Hell (Official Video) - YouTube”>Volbeat - Heaven Nor Hell (Official Video) - YouTube)
oooh, look a listing with bpm: [Cycling songs by Volbeat by BPM (Page 1) | Workout songs and playlists - jog.fm](Cycling songs by Volbeat by BPM (Page 1) | Workout songs and playlists - jog.fm)

dstark, let us know of some of your faves, so we can see what your tastes are.

Well…this is still my favorite…

YouTube

It’s Raining Men…

Walking on Sunshine…

Everything on veruca’s first post is great.

Also I like… Good Time.

She Wolf…

How You Like Me Now…
What I Like About You…

I like it fast or a build up, but I don’t want to listen to a bunch of
noise…
I work out on an elliptical trainer…
I am trying to stride more than 170 strides a minute.

I apologize to the posters. I am leavings songs out that
I do like…

I am trying to listen to everything…

I am not close to half way through the list.

Just because I don’t like something doesn’t mean it isn’t great.

I am not interested in disco, rap…I like some country music but that isn’t what I am looking for…

Jazz is my favorite genre but that is not what I am looking for… I listen to Joe Pass the jazz guitarist multiple times a week, but that kind of music isn’t what I am looking for either.

It is very personal

dstark with the “Dog Days” song I surge when she surges. When say says run I run faster
Or ride faster -which ever I am doing. You can also type in songs that you like into wherever you buy music and add “dance remix” you might find a faster version of something you like but find too slow, for example:

“Because of you”- bermudez and Griffin remix (Kelly Clarkson)

Let’s see for some faster songs …

“Ain’t nothing wrong with that” -Robert Randolf and the Family Band
“Evacuate the Dance floor” -Cascada
“Everytime we touch” -Cascada
“Titanium” -David Guetta
“Bulletproof” -La Roux
“When Love Takes OVer” -David Guetta
“Fire” -Scooter

Yeah…it is very personal…

I used to watch episodes of the Sopranos while on my treadmill in the morning. It’d help me get pumped up in the morning…when I’d go out my front door in the morning and hit the streets I’d feel like hitting and whacking any problems I might encounter during the day.

Consider for a workout playlist the theme song from the Sopranos–‘Woke Up This Morning’ by Alabama 3.

[The Sopranos - Soundtrack - Woke Up This Morning - YouTube](<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube)

No Flo Rida on anyone’s list?

or Bruno Mars?

I had Flo Rida on mine on page 1!!! And I actually do have Bruno Mars on my Spotify list, but not the one I posted. :)

I saw Joe Pass in concert with Ella & Oscar , and Count Basie with H when the world was young but I never thought to put them on my playlist.
:)

Emeraldkity4, you have broad musical tastes…

One of life’s pleasures…

Dietz199, I liked your list. My wife did too. She was listening in another room.

My favorites were…

Life during War time - Talking Heads
The Apartment Song - Tom Petty
And Laid.

Your last song was interesting…

When you get a chance
I think you will like this…it’s less than a minute but you need flash…

Paste this in google search including the “”

“Girls I introduced to Jimmy”

JustaMom5465 is next…
Judt started JustaMom5465 's list…just started and love Let’s Go.

Just for ha-ha’s, here are some “international” songs I have used in class. Just to broaden your horizons
Some are Latin - some are not.

Dilli Duduk - Tarkan
Pegate - Fulanito
Caipirinha (Habibi Yarah Berioh) - Jimmy Rey
Get Reel - Urban Trad
Chammak Challo - Hamsika Iyer, Vishal-Shekhar & Akon
Cabelo, Joelho -

Ok… I am listening by post order.

Diversify. Ok. I will listen. Shakira is not happening though even though I love soccer and her song was used for the World Cup. Gang whatever I don’t think is going to wear well. However, She Bangs will be on my list. And Let’s Go might be the first thing I listen to. I love it. I am not done with your first list. Going out to dinner now.

, you have broad musical tastes…

I like most good music except I really dont care for Beach Boys/ Sha na na/do wop. & Grease is my top unfavorite musical of all time.
( at the time of the Ella & Oscar concert, I worked at a promoter & had seats in the third row, not bad for a less than<3000 theatre.
We also had the 10th row for Eric Clapton Slowhand tour)
Bill Frisell is a local jazz guitarist that I like.
www.billfrisell.com

H & I went to see a reading w musical accompaniment which was being filmed for a documentary Tuesday night subtitled " A Punks revue" with Duff Mckagan from his memoir " Its so Easy & other Lies".
It was moving but I think much of the audience was there because of his affilation with Guns & Roses, but I really am not familiar with that at all, I like his acoustic stuff. ![]()
( in the mid 80’s I listened to " alternative" rock, which I don’t think G&R was)

When I started seeing Duff play acoustic guitar at local bars in the neighborhood, I was surprised at the write ups in the papers, I really had no idea that he was such a big star.
:o

For more exercise music, my D used to like the Bend it like Beckham soundtrack. ( which is Bhangra)
