I would have loved to sit in the third row. I went to see Joe, and Ella, and Oscar and Count Basie in SF.

I went to a Joe Pass concert at the Fairmont in SF. I was standing next to an elevator and Joe Pass walked right into the elevator. I stared right at him. I froze. I did not get into that elevator.

I did name my son after him.

I don’t think too many people know who Joe Pass is.

When I started dating my wife she told me she went to a Joe Pass
concert. That was huge for me. :)

Here’s my current work out playlist. I usually include a lot of covers that are “one offs” that I wouldn’t ordinarily listen to on CD or vinyl. They may be hard to find, so you can substitute the originals:

Krillies, I really like Black Eyed Peas. I love I gotta feeling. Just listened to it 3 times. I knew the song already and that song is definitely on the list. I have 4 minutes. Might as well listen again.

Most of Motorhead- esp things like Ace of Spades and King of Kings
The Cults Electric album
“Sick To Death” Atari Teenage Riot
Pantera Walk
Dropkick Murphys Shipping up to Boston
ICP “Night of the Chainsaw” “Let’s Go All The Way” (hey! recommend to me by a friend!)
“Irresponsible hate anthem”

I try to time the heaviest lifts to when the play list is on “Scotland the Brave” or “Raining Blood”

Pandora.com has a workout radio station with different genres/channels to workout to like rap, pop, hard rock, country, etc. Just choose a different genre for circuit training! Hip hop one day for your booty, rap next day to exercise your mouth, country boot scoot for leg and foot workout, etc.

Ok…I am thru post 49. I usually like Veruca’s stuff and two songs stand out to me in that post.

When love takes over…

And Titanium…which for me is one of the best workout songs I have ever heard. That is definitely on the list.

I guess I like David Guetta…

I thought I was going to listen to everything that was listed here when I started this thread. A poster takes the time to post, I should listen…but
everybody has their limits.
I think I am batting 90 percent…maybe more. I think I am listening to 90 percent of what is listed. Some are quickly dispatched.

The 70’s rock is not really my favorite. I know a lot of us grew up with it
and it is part of the soul of people and a generation. Well…I didn’t like it that much and switched to jazz. Lol

So… Some of those songs are getting a quick hook.

Mathmom, I am not sure of your pick. It might grow on me.
I am not going to go to websites listed in this thread and look for songs. I am looking for personal favorites of the posters.

Thanks for listing your favorites. I will pick this up…maybe tomorrow…

Helena beat - foster the people, that is my absolute favorite song to listen to while working out because the beat just pumps me up
Bulletproof - la roux
Something will work - three door cinema
Promises - nero (skrillex remix)
Call it what you want - foster the people

dstark…in looking at the songs that you say that you really like I’m noticing a pattern (not that I’d be able to articulate it), and I’m not at all surprised that none of the international stuff made your list!

You’ve got some great input though, and I’m enjoying looking at all the suggestions!
