Veruca, I don’t get the David Guetta thing either, or why he gets billing. but I do like his stuff and I would listen to a couple of those songs at home. I guess he writes some of the songs, but I have no idea which ones or how many. There is something about Titanium I like…

I am listening to Bill Frisell now …emeraldkity4 and I like him. :)

Ok …I am going to give pandora another shot. Set up a David Guetta station. I am a huge Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire fan, but you won’t see me in a club.

But veruca? Clubs for you? And if Without You doesn’t come up on pandora, I wil find it and listen.

Nah -no clubs for me either
I love dance music for working out -but I can’t imagine hauling my 46 y.o. self out to dance.

When I am not working out -I rarely even listen to music. I listen to books and podcasts.

I don’t like jazz at all -I think you have to have a special “jazz gene” or something - I know many people love it
The only jazz I have ever listened to regularly is the Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack.

Like the other exercise teachers on this thread -I spend a lot of time and money on music -trying to motivate myself and my students -so it is fun to get to share some of my efforts

^^veruca - YE$$$$!!! And maybe that’s why we don’t take it personally, we know that some (read: students) will like a song, others will hate it. You can’t please everyone.

Just last week:
Justamom, justamom, why did you take XXX song out? I love that song!
Oh, Justamom, THANK YOU for taking XXX song out, I hate that song.

It is hard to make people happy. You certainly can’t go by age -sometimes my seniors will rock out to something current and my college students will sing along with my 80’s hair bands .
