BFA Acting Admission Class of 2030 Forum

Of course! I did run the NPC calculator before, it did show me a different sum (I got no awards at all other than the pell grant), but even on the calculator it didn’t award me anything (still was a different sum though :joy: ) I tried playing around with it reducing income increasing income but it still ended up the same, so I don’t think it is even indicative. It also only considered me, while the css profile also required my parents, I am considered independent on FAFSA. We are submitting a reevaluation though, as something still doesn’t add up, so I hope something comes out of that. I haven’t withdrawn other applications yet, I hope it doesn’t ruin my chances anywhere. got a no from UNCSA as well this week.
Has anyone happened to hear about SCAD? I haven’t been able to find anything about their acting program other than what the school posts itself on the internet.

Have you heard from UCLA at all since submitting the application? I honestly forgot about them for a while lol.

Newbie here. My son heard from SCAD today for Acting. They don’t have a MT BFA but a minor. In my research, I found that they are very rigorous in their approach to acting due to the on-site casting and have nice facilities. We will likely tour. Still don’t know how much scholarship was given.

Newbie here, have been reading for a while. My son has applied to and auditioned at 18 schools, the bulk of them at Chicago Unified.

IWU - On campus audition - redirect from MT to Acting - Accepted to the program

Viterbo - Unified- Accepted to BFA Acting

University of WI - La Crosse - Virtual audition- Accepted to BFA acting

Columbia College: Accepted to BA theater - On campus audition Waiting for BFA decision for MT in April

Ball State - Unified audition for Acting - waiting for decision

Ohio University Unified audition for Acting - No

SCAD- Unified - Admitted to Acting

Point Park - Unified Acting - waiting

Five Town - unified MT/Acting - Accepted to MT

Norwalk Conservatory - Unified Acting - Waiting

OCU (OK)- Unified - Accepted to Acting

Dean College - Unified - Waiting

Steven Point, Wisconsin - Unified MT and Acting _ waiting

Baylor - Unified - Accepted in Theatre program

OU (OK) Unified - Acting - Waiting

Good luck to all. We are visiting the ones who have given acceptances. Any advice or insight appreciated. As a STEM-focused family, this is not my area of knowledge. Thanks

Congratulations!!! So many great options. Anyone hear from or apply to Calarts ??

I have heard that as well, but I am wondering if the casting office is actually for legit big roles or just minor parts/extras ( I don’t really know anything about the Atlanta industry in the first place) , and have not been able to find anyone online who goes there. If you do tour, could you update what you thought? I unfortunately cannot tour myself. Congratulations on all the acceptances!

Congrats to those who got their acceptances this past week. Lots of decisions came out. So thankful for some choices when these programs offer so few spots. Looks like next week will be another big week of decisions based on history.

Do we still have word that Ithaca comes out today?

15 auditions. So far 5 yes, 2 no, removed 1 application after audition because of a weird vibe, waiting on 7. This is going to be a long few weeks!

I suspect this week based on past years. I doubt anything comes today.
