Biggest Improvement SAT Stories

2160 => 2390 sat

Freshman year: 2080 SAT
Junior Year: 2340 SAT (211 PSAT)

I was signed up for the November 2009 SAT, but got sick two days before, so I rescheduled for the December test. I thus had time to study Barrons and take about 5 Princeton Review Practice Tests. But i still didnt expect to get a 2340.

Thank God for the swine flu.

hovered around a 2000 for 3 tests (2020 highest), then took practice tests from both blue books and hints from rocketreview. I also studied vocab through cardcram.com. I increased my score to a 2280 (1560/1600).

i got a 135 on the PSAT as a soph, then 2050 in senior yr…(yea still bad :/, i hate CR!)
hopefully i will do much better in Jan

^ Yo I’m missing out these weird angle and x-y-in triangle questions on the math. omg…
and hate CR, but love it right now with my technique applied to it.

yipyip are u a senior taking it in january as well samesies bro

i want a 2050 like u got cuz i have a 1900 SAT which is horrific for a senior

1900 is credentially strong, sat4lyfe. I don’t see what’s the issue with the overall score other than your Math and Reading.

I started with a 196-218 on the PSAT and then went from a 2190 last January to a 2310 super score with the November SAT-750CR 760M 800W. My biggest increase came in CR 670-750. I really worked hard on the vocab and used Direct Hits to help me get all the sentence completions right which really helped improve my score. For the rest of the test I used the Blue Book and online tests.

44 point improvement from Sophomore PSAT (175) to Junior PSAT (219).

This was with the Blue Book (second edition), Direct Hits and some Kaplan books.

to sat4lyfe

yea I am a senior. lol taking it again in Jan…and this is the LAST TIME! definitely the LAST time. I’m not taking this

SATan test anymore!

“Thank God for the Swine Flu”-

that’s the funniest thing i hear today!

Went from a 590 in CR to a 720…that’s all

I got an 1860 in 8th grade

Now I am scoring in the low 2200s in 10th grade

Anyone think I can reach 2300 when I test next year?

^You’re a ****ing ■■■■■.

Do you seriously think that there’s much of a difference between low 2200’s and a 2300. There’s certainly not more than a 100 point difference, if the lowest you got was a 2200.

Hey fresh, relax. Sometimes a 2300 makes a whole world of difference compared to a low 2200 score. For example, someone could have a score of 680cr/740m/800cw and have a score of 2220, but that score still displays a weakness in Critical Reading.

^But do you realize what grade this kid is in? 10th grade. He shouldn’t be worrying about a 2220 or what ever it was in 10th grade!!!1

That is true. I don’t know, some people are like that I guess.

9th grade- 800(200 CR, 200 M, 200 W)
10th grade-1200(400 ,400,400)
Now- 1250(400,400,450)
Improvement or what?
xD

Your scores are too low. You need to get 600+ on each section in order to get into college.

HopefulEagle: I highly doubt the authenticity of those scores. And also, in any case, you don’t “need” a 600+ in each section to get into college. Maybe if you are aiming for top 50 schools, but definitely not to just get into college.
