1910 SAT

2240 practice SAt tests now

I’m too lazy to search through the thread, so what was the largest improvement? :D

anyone else want to share what ‘clicked’ for them? Prep classes?More practice tests? What was the thing that made your scores jump? And for those who improved a lot, did you hit a plateau at some point for a while, then after that did your score jump again?

Nothing “clicked” for me. Practice gradually and consistently increased my score. I don’t feel that I hit a plateau, I think more practice tests would have increased my score even more.

^ic. Right now, for my past 4 practice tests, I am around 2050-2100 range. It’s really frustrating as I improved so quickly from my 183 PSAT, but now I haven’t improved in a while.

Over the summer I scored 1500’s on diagnostics through the Princeton course (which I felt was completely useless). Now I’m stuck in the high 1900s range. :T
Hoping to reach over 2100 by May.

^ never seen that face before… : T what exactly is it supposed to be?

^lol. How much can you improve in one week of focused studying? lol, such a vague question but I’m so nervous/anxious since i don’t have a lot of time until the May SAT and all I have is basically 1 week of March Break vacation to study!!!

Is a 2100 —> 2250 possible in a week?

Any more out there?

I’ve never done a real CollegeBoard SAT test until yesterday, although I’ve done various practice ones.

Freshman year, on the PSAT, I scored a 157.
Sophomore year, on the PSAT, I scored 179.
Junior year, on the PSAT, I scored 208.

First ever timed practice (Kaplan) - 1930.
Second timed practice (Kaplan - gave up halfway through because the questions were really not at the level of the real SAT) - 2000.

Recent practice test from BB: 2170-2230 based on my essay.

The important thing is to know that you’re not going to get a 2400 the first time, or the last time. What’s important is that you recognize what you’re doing wrong and how you can improve. That’s pretty much all you can ask for.

First practice SAT: 1800
First official SAT: 2030, two years later. It’s not that much, but it’s a lot in my opinion. I took the SAT again last month-waiting for results, which are coming in 5 days! Hopefully, I will have improved (:

Good luck everyone.

reviving the dead I see…

Freshman PSAT: 173 (no prep)
Freshman BB SAT: 1880
Sophomore PSAT (projected): 205-220 (Studied a little with DH and some grammar rules. Also, going through Algebra 2 and recently reviewing some geometry + trig in IB Math was helpful)

1450 - soph psat
1510 - junior psat
2110 - sat junior

basically didnt study for psats but studied for sats

First practice test (after Sophomore year, before Junior year): 1710
Junior year PSAT - 181
Junior year SAT - 1960
Senior year SAT - ??? (hoping for 2000+ in Oct. test)

the student i just tutored went from 1690 to 2120 over the summer. the books we used were the blue book (and yes he felt more comfortable with the test) and the testprofessors books 5 sat writing tests and 5 sat math tests.

i was actually surprised, but very happy
with the results. i’m going to keep using the combination.

In June-practice test- 1060
In November-practice test- 2000

First ever practice PSAT (7th grade summer): 153
