I like being able to “get ahead” on PBS shows using Passport. For example, I finished Call the Midwife last weekend even though final episode of the season doesn’t air on PBS until this Sunday. I also love, love, love watching Kelly Corrigan’s Tell Me More which is hard to find on the Nashville PBS station. I’m a season behind right now on that one, but love how she focuses on wonderful change-makers. Favorite profile of all her episodes is the one on Steve Kerr in season one. He is a wonderful guy.

CTM is one of my favorites, a show I’ve never binged because I’ve watched it from the beginning. I told H he is in luck, he has a new streaming service to scroll through (he watches the weirdest shows but sometimes they’re really good, but not that often).

YES—finished the last 3 episodes last night and am still ANGRY!

Read something that the British prime minister has proposed a minimum settlement of 75,000 pounds for victims who hit certain criteria. It really sounds like all of Britain is as angry as I am about how these folks had their lives destroyed!

The line that really hit me was when one of the victims asked (to paraphrase) ‘if I stole this money, then where is it?’ This entered my mind–these weren’t the kind of folks to set up hidden offshore accounts for those amounts of money–forensic accounting could reveal if they actually stole the $$ where it went–gambling, travel, luxuries, etc.

Finished “We Were the Lucky Ones” on Hulu. Had me tearing up the last episode.,so good. I didn’t realize it was based on a true story.

Darn, I no longer have access to HBO.
Maybe the place I’m headed for vacation next week will have it so I can at least watch the first ones.

That was some episode! I rewatched the series with my son and found myself enjoying that episode the 2nd time around, instead of how we all felt the first time. My favorite episode of both seasons was The Fork, Forks, or something like that.

Yes, that must be where Ritchie works at the fancy restaurant?

It’s a great series.

I was watching Morning Joe (MSNBC) today and saw an interview with Jeff Daniels. He was pitching his new series on Netflix–A Man in Full. The series is based on Tom Wolf’s novel. I read the novel ages ago. I like Jeff Daniels and Diane Lane (she’s in the series as well) so I’ll watch. Will report on it!! Has anyone seen it?

It is one of the shows BBC recommended for May. I plan to watch a few on the list.

It was so well done, and so sad.

I finally got started on the third season of Slow Horses, it’s a terrific series. (It is not about horses! ). It’s on Apple TV

Season three of today’s best spy series brings back the out-of-favour MI5 agents exiled to Slough House, earning them the derisive nickname Slow Horses. Gary Oldman is endlessly amusing as Jackson Lamb, the team’s brilliant, acerbic leader. Jack Lowden’s River Cartwright is charming, charismatic and smart, so why does he find himself in one scrape after another? Kristin Scott Thomas is a treat to watch as the shrewd head of MI5, Diana Taverner, tangling with Sophie Okonedo as Ingrid Tierney, her rival for power. This season’s story, based on Real Tigers in Mick Herron’s Slough House series of novels, begins with an incident in Istanbul that leads back to London and a kidnapping that sends the team into overdrive. Amidst shootouts, betrayals and hard truths revealed, the Slow Horses once again go rogue for all the right reasons

I will definitely spend part of my weekend watching Hacks.

We are absolutely loving A Gentleman in Moscow. I never read the book, so I have no idea how it ends. But it’s just fabulous.

Also thanks to those who talked about Only Murders in the Building. We are having lots of fun with that one. We are about halfway through season 2.

We also finished Fallout. That was OK. I think H liked it better than I did. I liked it fine, but not overly wow’d with it.
