I’m sorry - I have not read this entire thread. I have recently finished season 4 of The Chosen and wondering others opinions. I feel it is extremely well done and has moved me like no other show I have ever watched.
BBC iPlayer has Sambre: Anatomy of a crime.
One of the best, most affecting TV shows I saw last year. The producer explained he tried to center the victims and to avoid voyeuristic ways “True crime” often works, and I think he did a very good job.
I think they found Liev Schieber’s character’s MONEY more of interest than anything else
I thought the reference to him as a “DILF” was about more than the money but maybe I’m mistaken. LOL!
I’m late to the news, but I can’t believe Outer Range has been cancelled!
Just finished watching the Perfect Couple. I kept thinking the maid reminded me of someone, it was driving me crazy. Then it dawned on me she looks like she could be the mother of the Bridgerton daughter, the one who never wants to get married and is mad at Penelope.
She could be her for real, too: “Éloïse” is supposed to be something like 20 in the show but is 35 IRL!
This lady looked to be in her late 40’s or older. She was heavier than Eloise, too.
Umm…no.
Yeah, she looks way too old even for aged-up 35.
It drove me nuts that they used actors who were way too old for their parts!!
My husband and I both enjoyed “The Perfect Couple” (Netflix, 6 episodes). Lots of zigs and zags. Funnier than we expected for a murder mystery. A bit different from the book, per various online articles I looked at today.
I don’t know how I missed this, but Pachinko (Apple TV+) started its second season last month. 4 episodes have dropped so far.
We just started Slow Horses, enjoying it. It kind of reminds me of Blacklist, but we are just on episode 2.
Very late to the party but just finished Money Heist on Netflix and it was so good. 5 seasons and I binge watched it all over the last 2 weeks (many late nights). I just loved the professor. Season 3 was a bit slow but the rest were great.
I thought the “Perfect Couple” was OK but not excellent. The acting was uneven.
Agree.
It was comfort food. Loved watching the gorgeous scenery.
But some of the details (I won’t give any spoilers) regarding how things were investigated were preposterous.
And the way people were so snarky during the police interviews. Bizarre.
I gave up Netflix for now and have picked up Hulu for as long as it takes me to get through Only Murders in the Building. I’m in the middle of season 2 for now and will hang on to Hulu until last episode of season 4 drops. I was confident that I would like it, but it is exceeding expectations.
