We rewatched the last episode of Season 1 and then the first episode of Season 2. I can see how you ended up binging on it!
I like medical shows and just finished Saving Hope, set in a hospital in Toronto. The premise seemed a little iffy at first. Think The Sixth Sense. But the guy who plays thhe doc existing between worlds does it with aplomb and snarky humor. Lots of medical mysteries and surgeries if you like that sort of thing (I do). Might watch The Good Doctor next as Iāve already gone through The Resident, Private Practice, Royals Pains etc.
I enjoyed that show.
For Diplomat, is there enough recap if you donāt want to rewatch the first season, or alternatively, would watching last episode of S1 be enough to jolt memory? I can remember the last scene but not all the context. Thanks.
There is no recap. Rewatching the final episode of season 1 will get you up to speed. Or you can read a recap to refresh your memory
We rewatched last episode of Diplomat season 1 and then jumped right into first episode of season 2. We were glad to have the refresher because weād forgotten some things. Of course if we had been short on time I might have just referred to an online recap. But we are short on shows right now, didnāt mind the time spent at season 1 finale.
I would highly recommend watching the final episode of season 1, so you can see the nuances of where things were at (instead of a broad sketch), and that will enhance what you catch in season 2.
Iām binging The Diplomat but didnāt rewatch any of Season 1. The first āpreviouslyā helped some then more memories filled in as i watched each new episode. Before I started I told my husband I remembered explosions - just not how many! It is mean the way they end each episode on a sudden reveal so I think, just one more episode before I go to bedā¦
Weāre thoroughly enjoying rewatching all Season 1 in prep for Season 2 (of The Diplomat). Astonishing how much detail Iād forgotten!!
LOL - makes me feel better. I mostly remembered that I liked the intrigue and the character banter. LOL - and Keri Russellās unkempt hair, that Iām sure is carefully crafted by the stylists.
Itās part of the storyline, so yeah, itās deliberate.
Russellās hair in The Americans was equally distracting for just the opposite reason: Always perfect, swept all to one side, including during any skirmishes. Maybe this is for balance. ![]()
I recently enjoyed Apollo 13:Survival on Netflix. Itās a new documentary using archival footage and interviews, very well done.
Good to know⦠One of our kids was a space nut. We owned the Apollo 13 VHS video (with Tom Hanks) and watched it many, many times. Iāve marveled over how engaging the movie is even though everybody knows how the story ends.
Not a ābingeā but watched the Martha Stewart documentary. Two hour investment, worth hearing her story. Itās not all pretty. For as fru-fru as you might think she is she is a hard worker and didnāt come by it mentally easy growing up. I appreciate her ability to turn on the
when she has needed to. Credit where credit is due. And she works her a_s off in her home and gardens!
My aunt went to school with her (my dad and his brother went to boarding school so did not).
I just listened to that last night. She seems like sheād be a fun person to hang out with.
Watched the Martha documentary this morning.
I watched season 1 of The Diplomat all over again and went right on to Season 2. Season 2 was shorter. I have a crush on Austin and was hoping for something to happen!

Iām not sure what I think about Martha as a person (totally admire her ambition and success). She really does seem mean (canāt print the other word).
