Btw, Shetland had a new “series” out. Pretty good.
The islands remain a strong presence but the new series makes it look bleaker, grayer though.

Yes, we’re watching the new season. Reserving judgment.

No word on when it will be released outside the UK, but the new season of Strike (marketed as CB Strike in the US) dropped this week

Also new this month is the new season of Dalgliesh (Acorn TV)

Thanks. Look forward to watching both.

Started Dalgliesh season 3! I think I have read the novels.
Situating the stories in the mid to late 70s (when Britain truly was in the doldrums, with even a year when they had to ration electricity to only 3 days a week; the rise of punks and Margaret Tharcher) makes for a great atmospheric environment to any plot.

I’m not a reality show fan, have watched very few. But I did watch Later Daters as someone here said it was good. I thought it was really fun, enjoyed it quite a bit. On Netflix.

There was one date where we couldn’t stop laughing. You’ll know which one.

That was meeeeeee!!! :raising_hand_woman:t2:

I truly loved it. Glad someone else gave it a try. It’s reality but also I thought done in a more refined way. Michelle Obama was on some shows that his week with some of the contestants

It was so good. It seemed more “real” than most reality shows if that makes sense.

For anyone waiting for all the episodes to drop in order to binge, the season (and likely series) finale of Bad Sisters dropped last night. The season started slow, but did get good toward the end.

Also the Christmas Special of Call the Midwife airs tomorrow. While the specials are standalone episodes, historically, events are referenced in the following season, which begins January 5th in the UK and March in the US.

We finished bad sisters last night (I think that was the end, our tv kept buffering). We don’t have ever but I think I subscribe to pbs because I couldn’t wait for CTM to drop in the US last season.

Good information. I’ll start Bad Sisters soon. Also, the last Shrinking dropped last night. Probably won’t get to it today, but looking forward to it!

Also I didn’t know about CtW Christmas special, so looking forward to that, too!

CTM special on Christmas has been running for 13 years I believe, I think you can watch the old ones on Netflix.

I usually catch it eventually but didn’t know the schedule.

I’m mad, the kids bought us a nice LG smart tv for Christmas, logged into my streaming apps, and pbs passport is not available. I’m sure my husband is relieved…

Well, this year’s is not a standalone. Lots of unresolved subplots. :frowning:

Even after part2? :scream:
(Haven’t seen it yet)

Ah, my bad. I didn’t realize there was a part 2 airing tomorrow. That makes more sense

You should be able download the app if it is not listed on the tv (at least that’s what we’ve done with other streaming services not listed).
