Me, too. I thought it may not have been as good as before. But I like it and have been happy with DI Calder. Her style is quite different from that of Jimmy Perez but it has worked out well.
The Recruit isnāt very realistic, in my opinion, but it is interesting to watch.
We really love āNo Good Deedā. Wow. Love quirky stuff like this when so well done.
Watching it now. Itās a bit morbid on storyline but also surprisingly funny.
I like the way the āDead to Meā actress Linda Cardellini plays a completely different part.

When we had a week of AppleTV+ free recently, we squeezed in 12 one-hour episodes of Ted Lasso, season 2.
Walking through our local library, what is staring at me on top of a shelf unit? Ted Lasso, all 3 seasons, in blu-ray!!! Grabbed that quickly, and now weāre trying to watch season 3 during the week we have the box set.
Iām the queen of being behind in TV series.
My newest pleasure which would be great for people looking for an easy show while exercising, is SuperStore. Aired 2015-2021. Starring America Ferrera and Ben Feldman. Comedy, short episodes. Good humor, funny brief storylines.
Being behind can be really nice, many seasons available. Maybe we will check into Superstore.
Started Bodkin tonight. It is about true crime podcasters in a small town in Ireland. I think weāll stick with it.
I really liked watching Superstore when it was on.
I thought Superstore was hilarious. I miss it!
We have a relative who was involved in a very serious car accident in 2020, during the worst of COVID. He was hospitalized for months and had a slow recovery, they werenāt allowed to visit him in the hospital, etc., but he is doing much better now, back to work, etc.
His wife and adult kids would end every day watching an episode of Parks and Rec together āvirtuallyā, while texting each other. It was important to them to end each day with something lightāa laugh was needed at each dayās end.
As a Spanish learner Iām always looking for a series in Spanish (preferibly Mexican or South American). I just binged El Secreto del Rio. I thought it was really good and for a change wasnāt about cartels. Iām starting Cien AƱos de Solidad, but I would like to get more recommendations. Also really liked La Casa de las Flores.
I really enjoyed the series āVelvetā - tells the story of a fashion housed based in Madrid. I watched it several years ago on Netflix though Iām pretty sure I read that itās no longer available there. Anyways, I enjoyed it so much but Iāve never met anyone else who has watched it.
@leftrightleft I watched Velvet years ago as well when it first started airing. Really enjoyed it.
With so much depressing news in the world this last month, it was a delight to learn from a Masterpiece Studio podcast featuring Jeremy Swift talking about his All Creatures Great & Small role, that he has signed a contract for season 4 of Ted Lasso. I had heard rumors of this, but hadnāt gotten too excited. However, Swift (Higgins on TL) said the contract means they either make it or pay everyone who is on contract anyway. I would suspect that means there will a season 4 coming our way. I need these small glimmers of hope right now!
Yes, Linda Cardellini is nailing this role.
We enjoyed āDead to Meā also, she and Christina Applegate were perfect together.
I did watch all of Velvet. Really good. Another good series that is hard to find now because itās getting old is Gran Hotel.
The books are just as convoluted with LOTS of red herrings. I never had a clue whodunnit.
What about Estoy Vivo. Mash up of Heaven Can Wait and a cop procedural. I absolutely loved it. Itās in many ways like Ted Lasso really about family, friends and love.
Oh my goodness, @2VU0609 , how much did I need to hear that this week!
And also, I just finished bingeing A Man on the Inside, and I also needed that this week. 10 out of 10, no notes!
Iām on season 4 of The Wire and just discovered that the actor that plays Marlo is the same one who plays Jerry on Bosch! Mind blown! Heās very talented.
