Me, too. I thought it may not have been as good as before. But I like it and have been happy with DI Calder. Her style is quite different from that of Jimmy Perez but it has worked out well.

The Recruit isn’t very realistic, in my opinion, but it is interesting to watch.
We really love “No Good Deed”. Wow. Love quirky stuff like this when so well done.

Watching it now. It’s a bit morbid on storyline but also surprisingly funny.
I like the way the “Dead to Me” actress Linda Cardellini plays a completely different part.

When we had a week of AppleTV+ free recently, we squeezed in 12 one-hour episodes of Ted Lasso, season 2.
Walking through our local library, what is staring at me on top of a shelf unit? Ted Lasso, all 3 seasons, in blu-ray!!! Grabbed that quickly, and now we’re trying to watch season 3 during the week we have the box set.

My newest pleasure which would be great for people looking for an easy show while exercising, is SuperStore. Aired 2015-2021. Starring America Ferrera and Ben Feldman. Comedy, short episodes. Good humor, funny brief storylines.

Started Bodkin tonight. It is about true crime podcasters in a small town in Ireland. I think we’ll stick with it.

We have a relative who was involved in a very serious car accident in 2020, during the worst of COVID. He was hospitalized for months and had a slow recovery, they weren’t allowed to visit him in the hospital, etc., but he is doing much better now, back to work, etc.
His wife and adult kids would end every day watching an episode of Parks and Rec together ‘virtually’, while texting each other. It was important to them to end each day with something light–a laugh was needed at each day’s end.

As a Spanish learner I’m always looking for a series in Spanish (preferibly Mexican or South American). I just binged El Secreto del Rio. I thought it was really good and for a change wasn’t about cartels. I’m starting Cien Años de Solidad, but I would like to get more recommendations. Also really liked La Casa de las Flores.

I really enjoyed the series “Velvet” - tells the story of a fashion housed based in Madrid. I watched it several years ago on Netflix though I’m pretty sure I read that it’s no longer available there. Anyways, I enjoyed it so much but I’ve never met anyone else who has watched it.
@leftrightleft I watched Velvet years ago as well when it first started airing. Really enjoyed it.

With so much depressing news in the world this last month, it was a delight to learn from a Masterpiece Studio podcast featuring Jeremy Swift talking about his All Creatures Great & Small role, that he has signed a contract for season 4 of Ted Lasso. I had heard rumors of this, but hadn’t gotten too excited. However, Swift (Higgins on TL) said the contract means they either make it or pay everyone who is on contract anyway. I would suspect that means there will a season 4 coming our way. I need these small glimmers of hope right now!

I did watch all of Velvet. Really good. Another good series that is hard to find now because it’s getting old is Gran Hotel.
The books are just as convoluted with LOTS of red herrings. I never had a clue whodunnit.
What about Estoy Vivo. Mash up of Heaven Can Wait and a cop procedural. I absolutely loved it. It’s in many ways like Ted Lasso really about family, friends and love.

I’m on season 4 of The Wire and just discovered that the actor that plays Marlo is the same one who plays Jerry on Bosch! Mind blown! He’s very talented.
