Anybody watch The Pitt with Noah Wylie? Pretty good, kind of intense, but pretty good. Waiting for season 2 to come out, not sure when though.
It was totally amazing to me and many others, here and elsewhere.
Favorite show of the year for me!
I think Slow Horses is getting better each season. I hope you continue on. It is my favorite show in a long time, but it may not be yours. I love the book series, too. To me, the books are funnier but I would not call the books are better because both books and the show are very good.
For Vera, I call the books better than the show. (Vera, the show, is fine but the books are better, IMO)
January 2026 for season 2 of The Pitt.
On a related note, they fired Tracy Ifeachor (Dr. Heather Collins).
Oh no, she was marvelous! I wonder what happened, she was kind of a deep character that I think they could do a lot with.
Thanks! I will most likely slot it into rotation. I did like the characters a lot.
I hadnāt heard. Thatās super disappointing.
We loved The Pitt. Her character will be missed.
We also loved The Pitt. Just had family visiting, an ER physician and an ER charge nurse (night shift, to boot). I asked if theyād seen it and theyād watched only the first couple episodes. They said it was very true to life and excellent. But they couldnāt watch anymore because it was just too close to home.
We just finished Murderbot season 1 last night and I agree with you. We loved all the new stuff in the show. As fans of the book series, and knowing that the author was involved in the show, it is really cool to have so much additional stuff to fill in the story and characters.
The show is funnier and more rich with emotion than I would have expected. Like the books are told from Murderbotās perspective, but the show expands to show a more objective perspective. They complement each other so nicely and Iām trying to think of another book->screen series that has done something like this, as it feels pretty unique to me.
I loved learning more about Gurathin in particular. I also want to rewatch!
Just finished Watson. Unrealistic for sure, but a fun watch.
My question is this: every episode hinges on some extremely rare genetic mutation. Are these real, or just the creation of the writers?
Gurathin has become one of my favorite characters. Those puppy eyes!
Loving Andor though I often have to read the recap to get all the details. Itās been fun recognizing the locations.
I finished Running Point. I also started and finished Nobody Wants This.
I really liked them both. Interestingly, they are both inspired/based on true stories.
I did exactly the same thing. Liked the show, a lot, but didnāt need to see the scenes of the kidnap victim, over and over.
Reporting back that dh decided to watch The Handmaidās Tale without me, and the daily synopsis is just fine with me! I told him that I would join him for the last couple of episodes.
I think I have finally outgrown āThe Summer I Turned Prettyā (Prime, season 3 released today).
Oh, no! I canāt wait to watch.
Is it of any interest whatsoever? It looked like a teen romcom with.. little else.
I donāt know. I really enjoyed the first two seasons, but now the teens are all twenty-somethings. I watched half of the first episode and was not interested in (mostly) the sex lives of college seniors.
OK, I watched the first two. Definitely lost some of the fun, and I hate that Belly seems to be so codependent with Jeremiah. Iāve always been #teamConrad so I donāt love her with Jer even on their good days. But Iāll probably keep watching.
