Am in episode 2 and having trouble getting into it.
If you (all) watched it, did you experience the same thing and did it get better in one of those ways it sometimes works like âitâs the set up for what comes next so bear with itâ or âitâll make sense and youâll want to rewatchâ or âyou wonât mind once youâre in episode 3&4..â, etc.
Yes, we really enjoyed both seasons.
I mentioned several posts back that I was disappointed in the first 3-4 episodes. It just didnât grab me. For me it gained steam and ended in a good place (lol, Kristen Bell pun) in terms of entertainment.
Regarding Nobody Wants This - I did end up watching the whole thing, but I was pretty lukewarm on it. IMO if you donât feel like itâs for you after a couple episodes, trust your instincts.
I am trying to watch Severance. Not enjoying it much. I finished the first season. Does it get better? I donât understand the enthusiasm.
It wasnât our cup of tea either (but weâre in the minority).
I think we tried twice, but just couldnât get into it.
We got through both seasons of Severence. But we didnât love it the way some people do.
It did get better (Nobody Wants This). I wasnât keen on the first 2 episodes. But I did end up enjoying it, not much as the first season. But enough Iâll watch the next. Morgan is my favorite character and she didnât disappoint in her scenes.
Agree about Severance. I made it thru the first season but didnât have the desire to watch the 2nd.
Severance is so deep (at least for me) that o think you have to watch a season twice to get all the nuances. Also Adam Scott is my all time fav and so I just love watching him in this role.
We are so different. Adam Scott came across flippant to me in the show and almost creepy in his amorous approach.
Any other recommendations to watch on Apple TV?
Isnât that the demeanor his character is suppose to portray? This is definitely not a Parks and Rec type role! ![]()
I should have liked Severance since I like Adam Scott and woo-woo types of shows. But I never made it through the first season when it came out and I had free Apple+.
I can see how youâd have to rewatch Severence to see the nuances. There is really a lot of thought and symbolism behind the plot. There are lots of fans that love that kind of TV, and I admire viewers are are into that. Just not our cup of tea. We watched, stretching over a long time. But gosh it always had to be our first/serious choice of the night.
@Iglooo - On Apple TV,shows weâve really enjoyed: Ted Lasso, Trying, Shrinking, Slow Horses (which was a slow start for me), Palm Royale, The Morning Show, Lessons in Chemistry.
I totally forgot about Palm Royale (Apple Tv+) since itâs been so long, and I just found out Season 2 starts next week, as well as A Man on the Inside (Netflix). Just in time since The Morning Show ends next week, and the NBC shows I watch (One Chicago & L&O) start their 2-month hiatus.
Silo! Mythic Quest. Bad Sisters. I loved the first season of Shrinking but not really the second. Ditto for After Party (liked season 1 but not season 2). I also enjoyed Foundation and I liked Dark Matter enough to keep watching because I like science fiction. I thought both were good but not wonderful.
Blue Lights dropped on Britbox today!
(Not as hard hitting as The Wire but steeped in the history of Belfast, with its civil war only 25 years removed)
I liked The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy, there are 3 seasons.
