Binge watched tv shows (Part 2)

As much as I disliked last week’s episode of The Morning Show, the season finale made up for it and more. Dh actually cried! Really, really satisfying conclusion.

I thought they were done making a new season and left us hanging out to dry, not knowing who H is.

Those are older shows. I have watched 7 out of 15 listed. Love Happy Valley, Sherlock and Line of Duty.

They should have included Derry Girls, Unforgotten, Shetland and Vera. For newer shows, Slow Horses would get my vote.

Anyone watching the new season of Landman with Billy Bob Thornton? There is a hilarious college admissions interview scene!

I just got 2 free months of Apple TV when I did an order pick-up at Target. Redeemable until March. We’ll time it to be able to binge an entire season of whatever we want to watch.

Has anyone seen any deals on Hulu? The last couple years there have been $.99/mo introductory deals.

In which episode?

OK, thanks for the report. I guess I will stick it out. I have not liked this season at all.

I should have listed Unforgotten. The first 3 (4?) seasons are unmissable and still stories I think about.

Finished Murder before evensong. Very good. I think it’d especially appeal to people who like Vera and such shows. I actually found it better than Grantchester, with which it shares some aspects (at least the latest Grantchester seasons).
I hope someone makes a series from Ryder& Loveday, a 1960s set of cozy mysteries that’d fit right in with those.

Started episode 1 of Cooper&Fry. So far so good. Actually 2 episodes in 1.

@cfmom : thank you :folded_hands:

Just finished Selling Sunset and I’m with you - not sure if I can handle another season! Although it sounds like some people might be leaving and then the dynamic will change up again, so maybe. I needed a break before starting Selling the OC so currently watching All Her Fault on Peacock.

How are you finding All her fault?

We just started it and are really enjoying it! I think we are 3 episodes in.

Thank you so much for this rec! We are only 3 episodes in, but we are thoroughly enjoying it. We both read the Diary of Anne Frank last year after visiting the house. It’s nice to see the story from Mieb’s viewpoint. I love her character and her relationship with her husband. It helps bring some “light” into such a grim and terrible time.

We are enjoying it, too! We toured the Anne Frank house back in 1989. It’s quite something to stand in their hiding place.

This Is Going To Hurt on Netflix is really good. It’s funny, heartbreaking and a close-up look at the NHS health system and how it affects the doctors who work there. 7 episodes – highly recommend it!

Finished “Your Friends and Neighbors “ season 1. I really got into it, but I don’t agree with the description that it is a “ dark comedy “. I would call it a drama.

We just finished “A Small Light.” Really excellent. But keep tissues nearby…
