We started Zero Day with Robert De Niro. So far (two episodes) I’m not into it. H likes it more than I do. I don’t think it’s one of De Niro’s better performances and the story is unrealistic IMO. Has anyone watched it?
We started it but didn’t continue. I usually like that kind of show, but this one didn’t do it for me.
We watched this, at the recommendation of someone else, but thought it was pretty silly.
We are now watching something called Dark Winds on Netflix. I like it more than I thought I would. We finished season 1, and will start season 2 tonight.
Yes, silly, but charmingly silly to me, like The Good Place could be called silly. Not that this series is anything close to that, which I felt was a near perfect series. But I feel like The Residence is a fun ride as opposed to so many dark and dreary and depressing shows.
It’s in our list, it will help with You and Black Mirror.
Liking Hacks and The Studio.
Sounds like what I need right now.
We finished the show but it was just OK in my opinion. The show’s best attribute was that both H and I found it watchable.
DH and I loved both seasons of Dark Winds that were on Netflix. I just saw that Season 3 finished showing on AMC this week, so I’m hoping it will also come to Netflix soon.
Hmmm… I’ve not heard of Dark Winds. Looks like Season 1 is on Prime, which we have. From description - “psychological thriller… grisly double murder…”. How intense/violent is it? (maybe compare to another series?)
Finally finished The Residence and liked the earlier episodes better than the last ones, although I was satisfied with the denouement. It was just way too dragged out for my liking.
We finished The Residence two nights ago and also thought the end was dragged out a bit, but otherwise enjoyed it.
I didn’t think of it overall as that violent. With all the other plot lines, the violence didn’t feel all encompassing at all. As I mentioned up thread, I liked it more than I thought I would. I don’t generally like Westerns, and I can do without violence overload.
When we were in Santa Fe last summer they were filming Dark Winds, although I hadn’t heard of it before then.
Watching The Four Seasons now. I’m enjoying it, but then I liked the movie of the same name that it is based on. Laughed out loud a few times.
I started to feel like this show was a documentary, but that probably says more about me than the show.
hasn’t jumped the shark yet. s4
A co-workers is currently having her house done by Maine Cabin Masters, so I will have to watch as many episodes as I can before they do the reveal to try to guess what her house will look like when they are done with it.
We’ve watched all 3 seasons of Dark Winds. It was something both my husband and I really liked. Now I will have to wait a long time for season 4, but apparently there will be one.
