Oooh, I read the book and loved it–didn’t realize this was out.
Just finished up Big Mistakes, really liked it.
I’m really enjoying Rooster on HBOMax with Steve Carrell
We watched the first episode new season of Shrinking, really enjoyed it. Probably it would not be as funny or as endearing to somebody just jumping in. But now that the long time viewers know the characters and backstory so well, it was really sweet. The short guest part by Michael J Fox was great (though a sad reminder of how life can change with illness).
I saw an interview with Taylor Dearden. Apparently, she didn’t know about the ending sequence in the last episode of The Pitt (Season 2) until Isa Briones told her right before they were going to shoot the scene. I thought it was great!!
For folks who’ve watched Friends and Neighbors--is it worth watching. I’m looking for a new series to binge and I thought I’d try this one. I just read a New Yorker article that Amanda Peet wrote and also heard her interviewed on Fresh Air (NPR). The article was excellent–she wrote about dealing with her own cancer diagnosis, while also trying to help her divorced parents, both of whom were in their last days and lived on opposite sides of the country.
Do you like Jon Hamm? I usually like things he’s in from Mad Men to Kimmy Schmidt. It’s kind of an anti-hero story so far and you’re not sure how far it is going to go.
I think it depends on what kind of show you are in the mood for. We are enjoying Friends and Neighbors, but it is different than what we expected.
We enjoyed the 1st season, this season not so much.
I agree with @Mabelsmom - Season 1 was enjoyable enough.
We haven’t cared for season 2 as much.
Dh and I got halfway through season two of Running Point today. We really liked it, maybe more than the first season.
Oh, nice. We liked the first season and didn’t know about the second.
Dh and I finshed Running Point yesterday. Totally enjoyable brain candy for a sports lover like myself.
I finished watching a Korean drama called “Hot Stove League.” It’s about a last place baseball team in the Korean League made in 2019. There are 16 one-hour episodes.
I really enjoyed it, it’s all about the character development, great acting, and not really about the play on the field. In many respects, it’s a bit like Ted Lasso, but not humorous or as humorous.
A new general manager, who has his “issues,” is hired and he goes about fixing a team in complete disrepair, but gets a lot of corporate interference.
A few people here recommended Rooster and THANK YOU it’s really good, funny and poignant - and a real college dramedy.
We are enjoying the newest season of Hacks.
I didn’t really watch the original Scrubs, although I was aware of it. I think it might have been on opposite something else I liked more (?). I also recall considering Zach Braff to be annoying. However, I just finished the revival and I really liked it. I hope there’s a second season.
Did someone already mention Big Mistakes on Netflix? saw two episodes and am hooked. Such good writing, acting, and comedic timing.
Just watched Rooster last night and enjoyed it.
I did! Really liked it.
