A few years ago, I happened to catch the end of the very last episode. Was it so long ago that this won’t be a spoiler alert? ![]()
I’m not sure if that was a serious question, but in this thread, where we discuss and recommend all kinds of shows from all eras, and people are discovering shows they may have missed the first time around, I would think the polite thing to do is to give a general description of what you’re going to say, and put the specifics behind spoiler formatting.
Finished Ransom Canyon. Loved it.
When we drive in from VA it’s on our left. I-66. Just saying.
Has anyone watched Survival of the Thickest? I just finished it..3 seasons. I’m having good luck with finding random shows to watch. It wasn’t my favorite show, but I did enjoy it. Michelle Buteau was great!
Ooh! Can’t wait!
I started a new Netflix series last night—Jo Nesbo’s Detective Hole. It’s based on series of crime novels by Jo Nesbo and set in Oslo. I’ve read most of Nesbo’s books and this is one time I think the series is almost as good as the books, but I’ve only seen 3 (of 9 episodes) thus far. Hole (the main character) is a bad-boy detective on the Oslo police force, who solves more cases than anyone else through unorthodox methods. Hole also has many demons (at the beginning of the series, he’s an alcoholic who’s been sober for several years but falls off the wagon).
I was kidding! The original show ended in 1983, so not much of a spoiler. ![]()
As a reminder, the first episode of the 4th season of Ted Lasso drops Wednesday on Apple TV
I got a reminder and I was all “but wasn’t it supposed to be in August…?”… And the penny dropped ![]()
Just like I love a good beach read, I loved Five Star Weekend! I wish I had a second season to watch. My fav character is Brooke played by D’Arcy Carden (The Good Place) who I adore.
H and I enjoyed Legends on Netflix. Based on real life events – undercover customs agents trying to break up a drug ring.
Yes! And I also loved D’Arcy Carden.
Planning to binge the final season of Grantchester (PBS) tonight.
That’s a lot of murders & emotions to digest in one night, @oldmom4896. To each his own, but I would spread them out knowing this is it for this precious show. I would, however, encourage you to watch the final two episodes back to back and you might need a tissue or two if you are so inclined ![]()
Thanks. I really enjoyed the first episode.
Furious on Hulu is really good. Emmy Rossum stars (Fiona from Shameless) and I love anything with Scoot McNairy.
A cat-and-mouse thriller following Alice Black, a former NYPD homicide detective turned probationary FBI agent, as she tracks down a calculating female serial killer (played by Lola Petticrew) who targets wealthy men.
We binged Ride or Die this weekend, loved it.
I loved it, too! Fun actors to watch.
We have had a BritBox subscription for a couple of years now. We make good use of it (more than we should! lol) We started Watching “Gone” this week and are really enyoing it.
Bit after the 4th or 5th episode, it was we had to upgrade to see the rest of the season. $149.99 a year! (There may have been a way to just pay for the last couple of episodes. And it’s not Acorn TV.)
Anyway, has any one else had this experience?
