Almost everyone hates the congress!

cmmn guys…give em a chance
theyve done some good in these 2 yrs

The only thing the Congress has done in the last 2 years is slowed down the reform process which the NDA had accelerated…

Has the congress carried out any major disinvestments in the last 2 years? Have they opened up the retail sector or opened up the financial markets so we could have some international competition. The opening up of retail and the financial markets were a major part of the BJP liberalisation strategy but the left-front has ensured the congress makes no headway…

Opening up the retail market means we’d have mega-brands opening shop in India, generating many jobs and generating huge growth… Opening the financial markets would ensure interest rates would come crashing down and increased domestic investment in the country…

They are the most communal party in INDIA. They r following the policy of Minority appeasement which will eventually lead to further division in the society.

the congress was instrumental in the Nuke deal
they followed a hard core approach which made sure that it was Bush and not us who Blinked.
The deals was literarily dictated by us…
US wanted us to open even military reactors to safe-gaurd…we said no and many other issues were managed diplomatically

BJP would have tried appeasin US instead…thou i prefer BJP anyday, they certainly wouldn’t have bagged this deal

most people think that since the stock market is ballooning, the Congress’s economic policies have really helped India…

But just compare how many major economic decisions the NDA made in comparision to the congress over any 2 years period… The NDA opened up the telecom sector btw… And I am 10000% sure that if we had a congress government instead of a NDA during that time… we wouldn’t even had this whole explosion in the telecom sector that we have witnessed…

mark my word…congress dictates the market

the sensex dropped yesterday on Sonia’s resignation…a congress exit or early elections will surely put the stop on its run

also u gotta accept it…Pillai’s don a very good job as FM…he’s been instrumental in the sensex boom

Are you kidding me… The NDA government had far better thinkers and strategists than the congress government has at the moment…

You had Jaswant Singh and Yaswant Sinha… as well as Brajesh Misra… I hold high respect for these people…
Heck after Natwar Singh… we don’t even have a Foreign Minister…

BJP would have bagged this deal. Congress didnt do anything great. The former foreign minister, Mr.Natwar(lal) :p, was a good for nothing fellow. George Fernandes was humiliated by the Congress party for his alleged coffin scam, which now has been proved that he was innocent. And yes, dont forget that US-India bonhomie started during the BJP rule. Before BJP, US was more Pak sided.

Oh no no no!! What has he done that was instrumental in Sensex’s boom? Our stock market has simply followed trends being witnessed in all emerging markets… heck… even Pakistan’s stock market has grown 12 times in the last 6 years…

I have respect for PC and Manmohan… but they not effective given the commies ready to put their asses on fire whenever they try something bold…

About bullish stock market, it has nothing to do with PC’s budget. Its just becuz the global market is in the upswing. Why cant Congress control the Oil Prices?? Its becuz the oil price depends upon the International market. During NDA’s exit phase, the stock market was recovering from the Post 9/11 and dotcom slump. So, please think before making such a comment that its becuz of Mr.PC that the Indian stock market is bullish. :)

ur wrong there abt the deal
the foundation of this US-India deal lies in the fact that India’s an emergin super-power threatenin the superiority of the US…obviously the US wants to befrien a power.
This rise has been due to the liberation policy placed by the Narasimha Rao govt in 1991. thus…BJP just reaped the benefits of what congress did…which now congress is continuing

lol, thats complete BS… We all know the US sees India as a counterweight to China in the near future…

I hope our politicians are smart enough to realise this and milk US policy while it remains this good!!

The US doesn’t given a flying **** about India… They have their own foreign policy objectives and India fits nicely in that for the next few decades… Just like Pakistan did prior to that…

And I am saying this as someone who was born, lived in America for over a decade and holds US citizenship… I’ve only recently moved to India…

“India’s an emergin super-power threatenin the superiority of the US”??? India isnt threatening the US power. India is just growing.

BJP started the Privatisation process of the non-functioning and poor-conditioned Public Sector Units.
Congress hasnt done anything in the past two years which has made India great suddenly.

cmmn…rontuy ur just cin what how its affectin the urban…BJP never took care of the rural very well…which is why they bowed out in the first place…the present govt’s tryin to strike a balance…which is why i say that the present budget’s better than previous ones…

even Lalu makin matka’s in trains i good for the rural…u know how many jobs r bein generated? and present railway budget RICKS!!! its further strengthened the foundations of Indian Railways

“India isnt threatening the US power. India is just growing.”

WHAT!!!

dude…its obvious that by 2020, we’re gonna be ahead on every term except maybe quality of roads

Exactly… the word disinvestment was non-existant before the NDA…

India will make great progress by 2020 provided the commies are systematically assasinated over the next decade… and we a fast-track reform process… China maintained 15% average growth for over 2 decades… India is struggling to maintain even 7 to 8%… And there is no way we are going to push over 10%+ with the current pace of returns…

India is not going to rival US by 2020… However India will be a serious rival to China…

Even by 2050… The American economy is still going to be larger than the Indian economy at the current growth rates…

Dude… I need to clarify some of ur misconceptions. I live in Bihar. Laloo’s matka policy is a complete failure. Most of the people are using Plastic/paper cups on train.
Congress has been in power for almost 52 years, and u can see the condition of the rural India. BJP’s golden quadrilateral project generated a lot of employment for the rural masses. Yes, they didnt connect very well with the rural masses, but atleast they will improving the basic infrastructure of India. Good infrastructure is a must for creating abundant job opportunities. So, one should give credit for that to BJP.

KEY: balance btwn Rural and urban
u guys have to agree that the UPA has done just that…
had there been fewer intra-power struggles maybe they could have done more…but i believe its been doin a good job

the maka policy as we southerners c it was a boom…even TOI carried a guest feature where UChic professors (the same guys who authored ‘why bush blinked’) praised it
the present railway budget’s just tooo good for words…u have to agree on that too
