If it is the same two guys as the Marathon bombing suspects, I am shocked that they stayed in the Boston area this long. You’d think that they would have gone as far as possible as quickly as possible, before anyone identified them, and would have had a plan in place ahead of time to do so.

Why would you rob a convenient store when you are wanted with their pictures just released just a number of hours earlier?

Twitter and Reddit FTW.

Lindz- and on Monday CNN reported inaccurately. I’m trying to sort this.

Hmmm, would you think, these are hackers that are taking revenge for the guy that just committed suicide? (Aaron Swartz)

Holy crap. It’s the missing Brown student!

Skolnik saying it’s the missing Brown student

I don’t think you can apply normal rules of rationality, either to the Marathom bombers or the MIT/Watertown situation. People who are thinking straight don’t do this kind of stuff in the first place.

If they are in fact the marathon bombers, it’s possible they were stupid/arrogant/evil enough to think they could stay in the area while not being identified, or even want the opportunity to do more harm, revel in knowing they are getting away with their despicable crimes.

maybe once the photos were revealed they got scared, distressed?

an eyewitness from inside his apartment, Kitzenberg, is stating he saw the suspects throw what he believed was a bomb that looked like the pressure cooker bomb.

Wow, really?

Ch 7 is confirming that they are the bombers, and the first suspect is dead.

twitter michael skolnick tweeted missing Brown student is the 2nd suspect

Twitter is burning up with real time info of the situation. 2nd suspect–(White Hat guy) is being identified as missing Brown student Sunil Tripathi. I can’t officially confirm, but this is the talk.

lindz, or if it’s the Marathon bombers, maybe they just wanted to go out in a blaze of glory. On Monday, they didn’t take extraordinary measures to disguise themselves, despite the security cameras they had to know where there, not to mention the news photographers.

Ch 7 is reporting there maybe more than 1 other suspect they are searching for.

yes, LasMa, was thinking that, suicide by cop, blaze of “glory”, they are getting a lot of attention/notoriety right now.

just saw pic of missing Brown student, looks like suspect, think it’s the same jacket even?
[Brown University student missing Pictures - CBS News](http://www.cbsnews.com/2300-504083_162-10016233.html)

Now Ch 5 is saying the first suspect is at Brigham and Women with gun shot wounds.

I recall yesterday someone on this thread suggested it could be the Brown univ student, can’t recall who, and too tired to check

unbelievable that they were throwing pressure cooker bombs at the officers in Watertown, and using backpacks. if this is all true, and the eyewitness seems credible in his reporting, it seems the suspects were flaunting and repeating the same exact violence, as if was their signature act.

None of the news outlets are saying that it is the Brown student, but the similarity is striking.

Police scanner - you might have to load it a few times to get a connection

lindz, I remember that, too.

The name was given on the police scanner. Tonight has been sad for me, seeing how Twitter and Reddit are kicking mainstream journalism’s butt.
