If one suspect is indeed dead, and another has been taken into custody after having been forced to strip naked, then there is apparently yet another suspect still being sought, given that they are conducting a door-to-door search. But, CNN IS NOT at this point reporting the death of any suspect.

electronblue, where are you getting that information?

Fox 25 is using the term suspect #1 as the person that was shot and dead at the hospital. And I have heard many times tonight from various channels that there maybe more than 2 suspects.

Now Ch 5 also said that the Police commissioner just tweeted that suspect #1 is dead. Suspect #2 is still at large.

If one’s dead and one’s at large, I wonder who was loaded into the police car?

ETA – Here’s the video:

<a href=“Video News - CNN”>Video News - CNN;

Given that multiple explosive devices have apparently been used against law enforcement in Watertown, police and FBI are seriously looking to examine possible links between the events at and around MIT, and the Boston Marathon terror attacks. CNN just reported that the suspect who was made to strip naked is still in police custody, and still being questioned.

LasMa, a lot of people were being restrained earlier for precaution. Anyone walking down the street were being treated as potential danger, the cops were proceeding carefully and taking no chances.

And an MBTA officer (Metropolitan Boston Transit Authority officer), was also shot and wounded in connection to the over-night’s events. He is being treated at a local hospital.

Skolnik reports naked guy didn’t respond to police instructions to step back from the scene and they had him strip and took him into custody. He says he’s just a bystander.

Just for the record, the Pundit link refers to explosives found in March in an area in Hanover, MA, roughly a suburb of Boston, on the route to Cape Cod, not near Providence/Brown.

Whew, this is a real-time example of how confusing things are when events are still unfolding!

Now, they ARE reporting that the first suspect was shot, wounded, and later died at a local hospital. The other suspect is still on the loose. So the poor guy who stipped might very well not be connected with the overnight crimes.

Police reporting live on cnn now. One in custody and injured, one on the loose.

Interesting that the when the two suspects car-jacked the vehicle (a Mercedes SUV) at gunpoint early on, they released the driver several blocks away. I’m surprised they didn’t kill him.

I really hope they can take him alive but it seems highly unlikely at this point.

Just showing a new pic of the white capped guy from the 7-11 camera last night. in a gray hooded sweatshirt. Definitely the white capped guy.

They are now confirming the belief that the suspect still at large is the white hatted individual sought in connection to the Boston Marathon bombings—this according to the Watertown Police Chief.

Police press conference: Suspect still at large is believed to be Marathon bombing suspect #2. Dead suspect is believed to be suspect #1.

Amazing they stayed in the area. Cockiness or stupidity?

Interesting that White Cap hasn’t changed his clothes since Monday. ?
