A man on TV said he and his wife were in the stands when there was an explosion on the sidewalk. He ran across the street and helped carry a person whose legs were blown off. He had blood all over his hands. He was there with his wife to support runners for veterans because their son was killed in Iraq.

They’re shutting down more areas because they’ve found perhaps 2 more bombs and now they’re clearing out most of Back Bay to search. News can get confused but there may have been 2 explosions, another set off and more devices found. Reporters say they’re being pushed all the way back to Mass Ave, which is several blocks.

This is awful and the work of the rescuers is made more difficult because of the topography and density of downtown Boston. People whom are not familiar do not realize that this is a very cramped urban area. More so than lower Manhattan, in my opinion.

It’s just so upsetting. Such a fun, uplifting, community event to be attacked like this? I cannot make sense of it.

My son attends Northeastern in Boston but is currently in London. He is very upset, of course, but has heard from most close friends that they are okay. My heart goes out to everyone in Boston and those who love them.

^One of the tweet said the guy arrested in the hospital was caught by video camera carrying a backpack. He is hurt by the blast. Not jumping to conclusion on who may have done this but there could be terrible consequence with our future foreign policy and the Afghan war that is supposedly winding down.
