I really wanted to go but I won’t be out of school by then. I’m gonna do the virtual in April and maybe go for a casual visit later in the summer. My FB request is still pending too

Also quick question about the decision letter, in mine it only said to which school I was admitted, does that mean that I was admitted into my desired major?
Yea mine said the same thing. I guess that means were were admitted for our majors

Yes. I got my acceptence on April 14th and it came with my financial aid estimate
Ugh I need to rant. So I just called BU to see if my decision could be expedited since I have to give another school my decision on May 1, and I also asked to make sure that they had all my materials because some were showing up as unreceived even though I knew (or thought I knew) that they were sent and received. Turns out my incompetent former school didn’t send my transcript or my transfer report, and that’s why I haven’t gotten my decision yet despite submitting my application and materials back in February. I’m just so angry and upset that I could scream. I’ve been stressing about this decision for weeks now and thinking that I won’t get in because I haven’t heard back yet and it turns out I haven’t heard because some people can’t complete basic requests. I hate that school so much, it’s caused me more problems that I can count and I’m just so upset right now. Literally have been logging in to my portal dozens of times everyday hoping it will finally be time and if I hadn’t called today I likely would’ve been waiting forever. Ugh.
I had a similar thing happen to me, my HS sent my transcripts three times and they failed to process them. I had to call them multiple times in order to complete my application. I then got an email yesterday saying I was missing materials but called today and they said everything is in order and my application is under review - I’ll likely find out early to mid May. Does anyone know if this is a bad sign about getting accepted?
did everything show up as received too in your portal?? thats so messed up
omg that’s awful!!! i’d be really mad too! i mean, to have your future depend on incompetent people is just beyond annoying. I can relate to the endless refreshing of the portal part, i’ve been doing the same thing for weeks and still haven’t heard back. Anxiety levels are insane.
My son was accepted to CAS then under academics, there was another letter confirming his acceptance into the Pardee School for Global Studies. Alrhough his major in International Relations, it didn’t specify that.

I was told I should’ve had my decision last week, and I’m on the list to expedite my decision. I still haven’t heard anything so I just tried calling, and the phones are disconnected. Unlucky today lol

The transcript showed up as received. The transfer report didn’t but it stopped showing up in the required section for a while. I even emailed maybe a month back to make sure they had the report and they said they did but then today they told me they didn’t. Idk which school messed that one up, maybe both, but idk. It’s just so frustrating! I just sent my transcript and emailed my old school to get the report sent, so hopefully BU will get them this week and I won’t have to wait another two weeks for them to be processed.

Hopefully we’ll both hear back soon and it will be good news! Honestly the anxiety is the worst part, I just hope it’ll work out for all of us soon.

I’m so sorry- ugh. That is so incredibly frustrating. I would recommend reaching out to the school you were accepted into and ask if they can extend your deposit deadline past May 1st, so you can still hopefully hear back from BU in time to decide.
