Here’s another article that helped me straighten it out: [Breaking Bad: How Jesse Figured It All Out – Vulture](What Jesse Knows — and What We Still Don’t Know — About the Ricin on Breaking Bad)

I’m thinking that that machine gun has to do with Lydia, Todd, and his Neo-Nazi relatives. Neither Jesse nor Hank would require that kind of firepower, but the folks who offed Declan and company won’t be served with the “ice gun.” I’ve read the gun is an M60, which can fire between 200 and 1,000 rounds–enough for a small army, certainly a gang.

This may also be foreshadowed in that scene where Walt, Walt Jr., (and Holly) were watching Al Pacino shooting it up in Scarface: [Breaking Bad Walter watching Scarface !!! - YouTube](http://youtu.be/x9T7SJUIQFo)

More than once, Gilligan has said: “This is Mr. Chips turning into Scarface.”

Thank you for the link Frazzled1. From the link,
I understand. However, I can’t understand why the conclusion is…
when Brock was poisoned with a lily of the valley flower not ricin. The audience knows but Jesse has no proof linking the flower to Walt.

I wonder if it was Jesse who wrote Heisenberg on the wall of Walt’s house? What is the significance of the tarantula crawling towards Jesse? Is it supposed to symbolize Walt spinning his web of lies?

The tarantula was a reminder for Jesse of Drew Sharp, the murdered boy, wasn’t it?

If this was a flash of insight, maybe Jesse just finally realized that there’s no reason Walt wouldn’t have poisoned a kid to save himself and his family from Gus. He didn’t do it with a ricin cigarette, but Walt has done so many other terrible things. Jesse may not know exactly how it happened, but Walt knows chemistry/how to make ricin - why couldn’t he have known about another poison and extracted that? I would like to have seen more of a smoking gun leading to the realization, but we don’t know what the writers will do in the next 5 episodes.

I don’t think it would be right for the show to end without Jesse finding out that Walt let Jane die. I don’t know how this will come about - maybe Walt will taunt him with it in their last scene together.

How I love this show. Excellent episode, full of things I couldn’t have foreseen. I was thinking that Jesse must have been kidnapped from the house by the cartel so they could force him to cook. I like what the writers came up with much more.

I am now down to rooting for four people (well, and baby Holly): Jesse, because I have to; Marie; Hank (though he ticked me off by being so callous about whether Jesse might be attacked); and Walt Jr. Skyler lost me tonight with the Lady MacBeth bit. Saul, too.

I loved that the opening shot was a fire hydrant.

The whole cartel got wiped out by Gus.

I hate Walt so much

Marie wore purple in every episode except for S5E3 in which she wore black, I was fully expecting her to die tonight.

Whatever happens, poor Walt Jr. is going to have his world rocked. He’s the only one left who cares for Walt.

My mistake - I should have said Madrigal/Lydia instead of the cartel. She is giving Todd the chance to cook. But his ability is unproven, and Jesse’s results were very good, so I was guessing that she’d do what she could to get her hooks into Jesse. Just speculating!

I really felt bad that Hank walked in on Jesse. Just once I’d like Walt to get what he deserves.

Outstanding episode. I do wish we’d seen Hank’s explanation to his partner.

I’m pretty sure that ultimately it will be Walt who uses the services of Saul’s “vacuum cleaner parts” guy. That’s how he ends up in New Hampshire under an assumed name in the flash forward. As to what happens to his family and Jesse, I can’t guess but chances are it’s going to be bad :(.

We are now at the point where Walt - “the devil” - is looking good in comparison to Skyler. Talk about a shell of a human being.

I don’t know, Skyler doesn’t really know Jessie. I think she blames him for Walt’s involvement in drugs in the first place. She never really had a conversation with Jessie, doesn’t know what he’s been through and certainly doesn’t really know the extent of of Walt’s manipulation of him. She just sees that they were in the clear, life could possibly be normal and the only the (the only thing!) standing in the way of that is Jessie.

Wonderful episode. I love how JUST when I think I have it all figured out…everything shifts.

I am having some really bad feelings about Jesse. And poor Walt Jr - if he gets out of this alive, he’s still going to be destroyed.

Agreed, scout59

Here’s an excellent article/recap of last night’s episode from Huffington Post TV critic. It opened my eyes to some angles I hadn’t noticed.

DEA mug + the D from the handle = DEAD

^^^ OMG, you’re right!!! Clue? Foreshadow for Hank? Yikes…

Interestingly, Jessie picks up the book, “Dutch.”
