Hello! I just had a question that maybe one of yall could answer. My son interviewed for the Brockman program during the first round in January. He didn’t get the early acceptance email, but based on the new changes to the selection process, does this mean that he is now out of the applicants that can get selected? Or is there a possibility he can still get selected after all of the interviews are finished? What do yall think?
I would think there is still a good chance for your son. My son is in the same boat - he interviewed Feb. 1st, and has not heard anything since. However, we think that they (Brockman), are finalizing their last round of interviews (perhaps this weekend), and then will finalize their final selections over the next 2 weeks??? At least that’s what we’re telling ourselves…
I agree. Since the College Station weekend now appears to be for those awarded the scholarship instead of the top 100 finalists, it seems likely that PAAggie204 is correct. My son applied for Brockman 2 yrs ago. He got the first interview but not the scholarship. We were not notified and it was difficult watching as more and more people announced on this site getting it and we were just hoping we still had a chance. Since that was our experience with my son, at my daughter’s interview, I asked a couple of people if they were sending out notifications to both those invited and those who did not make the next step and was told yes they would let everyone know. The process seems to be changing, but hopefully they let everyone know.
We may be unrealistic or naive, but we still think our daughter has a great chance!
I wasn’t planning on joining this group, but I feel the need to update the people that interviewed earlier. My son interviewed this weekend for the Brockman Foundation Scholarship–Feb. 29/30th. This is the last weekend of interviews. He was told that we should hear something by the end of this weekend or beginning of the week. They said everyone should get a response. Not much longer to wait!
Thanks for the update - good to know that the Brockman Foundation will be wrapping it up soon. One way or the other, we have to “get on with things” and make some commitments.
@RunnerMomof3 When you say the “end of this weekend or beginning of the week,” do you mean the weekend of the 29th or the weekend of the 7th. Thanks in advance
The weekend of the 29th. Saying that, we haven’t heard anything yet. Hopefully they are just running late.

I feel obligated to let y’all know that, from what I heard, the Brockman Scholarship Program will be notifying candidates of their status by the end of this week/beginning of next week.
This site has been super helpful! Thanks for the great info. We are still eagerly waiting with excitement and anticipation over here too. Has anyone heard of any girls getting the early acceptance offers yet? From what I can tell, it seems to be the guys I am hearing about so far on here, but that doesn’t mean there are not others. Curiosity killed the cat, right lol?!
