BU RD Class of 2022

Accepted! Idk about you guys, but it’s popular where I’m from to have a groupme for accepted students… here’s the link for accepted students. You can tweet it too or however you want to spread it!

College Confidential won’t let me post an outside link on here but if you go to the public twitter page @BU2022GroupMe you should be able to get it

@ThatDriver20 I am with you – your decision is hard to believe with your stats. How was your essay, leadership and ECs? Where did you apply for “safety?”

how do you appeal for more aid, for those of you who were saying you were planning on doing that?

there’s a whole appeal process, you send a letter to your financial aid assistant director. here’s the link that explains it: https://www.bu.edu/finaid/apply/special-circumstances/reconsideration/

Rejected to CAS, very bummed about it. I was looking forward to school in Boston.

1360 SAT
4.02 Weighted GPA

Accepted (engineering)
but they claim my financial aid is incomplete even though i submitted all the forms at once… I submitted my css/noncustodial waiver late (due to some terrible misunderstandings and miscommunications on my part) but still they counted my css but not the waiver so now I get zero financial aid… (good news if you’re on the waiting list because I don’t think my family can afford $70k a year when we don’t even make $70k a year haha)
Does anyone know if there’s anyone at the school I can talk to about this because I really can’t go here without significant financial help?

woops hawambe got it, thank you!

ACCEPTED TO CAS ! but without any info about Kichland I’m gonna assume that I got rejected (applied too late, unable to apply for any Trustee’s): for those of you waitlisted alot of us who got in can’t afford to pay 69,000/year and justify it without honors, etc. so there’s a decently high chance if u stick it out!
1590 SAT, 36 ACT, 4.44 Weighted, Heavy ECs (I kinda knew I got in when stalking the accepted students site and one of the fun facts about 2022 is about me >.< so goes to show how much time I spent on ECs)

Son accepted

rejected, whats new

@undergrad2018 it was 22% this year https://www.bu.edu/admissions/about-bu/profile/

rejected and surprised honestly!
33 ACT
4.2 gpa
Major: film and television
Lots of EC’s & strong essays

Accepted into Honors College with Presidential scholarship!

Accepted to College of Engineering with 58k in total financial aid. I had the “thank you” message initially.

  • 1350 SAT
  • 3.5 UW GPA (school doesn’t weigh our GPAs) + full IB diploma candidate
  • Strong essays
  • Strong ECs

Congrats to everyone else who was accepted!

Accepted to the CGS Boston London Program even though that isnt what I applied for…
GPA: 3.7/4.0
ACT: 30
ECs: internships, clubs, etc.
I go to the number 1 public school in my state.

Probably won’t go because I received $2,000 in aid. Absolutely ridiculous. Nothing justifies spending $70k per year for education. The cost of higher education truly discourages me, and makes a good education less accessible.

Have those who received the presidential scholarship been notified? Would I be notified if I didn’t get it?

I was accepted, btw. 34 act, 4.3 gpa

Same here. Decisions seem inconsistent from other similar caliber schools

People who got the presidential scholarships have been notified on the “scholarship award decision” tab

@17andcomingclean Hang in there! It will all work out.

Where did you guys see you had the Presidential Scholarship? I have the Scholarship tab but it says my award cannot be seen online :frowning:

What are you considering similar caliber schools? @promom1
