Does anyone have the “Your scholarship award decision cannot be viewed online” problem? What does that mean?
@jenfumz FABULOUS!!! Would you mind sharing your stats? Wondering what my S was lacking He really needs some merit to make it to Boston from Chicago…
I got in to boston university. received no merit aid bc i applied too late… only 3 of 14 school decisions are released.( Syracuse,MIT,and BU) I got into syracuse with 1870 scholarship, so syracuse seems better for now.

When do waitlist decisions come out. Are they rolling?
@jkrxqzl what was the fun fact?
Hey, everyone! I got accepted into CAS in mathematics major but I want to transfer to college of engineering, is it possible to change my major now?
I just wanted to offer some thoughts on the guaranteed transfer option. My son got this 2 years ago, and he was bummed. We were not able to be objective about it and were insulted in a way. I would encourage you to be objective. Get your questions answered. I don’t think you are obligated to go to BU even if you accept the offer…You can change your mind and get a financial aid package next year. It may work for some who really want BU. You were actually accepted, it’s just for next year. Best of luck. Congratulations to all those accepted. Keep your heads up this who were not.
Accepted to CAS with 33 ACT and 3.8UW GPA. Strong ECs, decent essays, hopefully good recs. I initially had the thank you message. Barely any FA though
@JJJ1999 it will depend on how many students accept their admissions offer. May 1st at the earliest.
My son was an ED deferred, decision was not showing up. It is there now; rejected with guaranteed transfer to College of Communications in September 2019. He was not overly let down as BU was a reach for him, & he was accepted into a few other great schools–BU would have been rough financially wise- too-GREAT SCHOOL & GREAT location though, congrats to those accepted!
Hmm…does anyone have thoughts on the guaranteed transfer thing? While there is nothing to lose in signing I suppose (it IS non-binding) it seems very little benefit (I think?) How difficult is it for a regular transfer student to get in provided adequate GPA etc?
Also, I’m not sure, but other than need based aid, I’d guess that a sophomore transfer stands little (or no) chance of merit aid, making the cost factor even more difficult.
I think if my son is still considering a BU diploma, I’m going to recommend him doing Fresh/Soph years at a more affordable school which offered him good aid, and then (if he is still even interested) look into transferring as a Jr.
Rejected OOS…

@TT2018 Congratultions on your acceptance! The short answer is yes, but you will have to wait until you actually start in the fall. You’ll have to fill out an application to ENG (what everyone lovingly calls the College of Engineering) once you’re actually on campus. Let me know if you have any more questions and congrats again!
