BU RD Class of 2022

lol oops nvm

nvm

@Bella2018

@momo2x2018 is referring to a CA resident being denied at the UC’s the night before.

Anyone would like to share their views on - BU or NEU or UNC?

@ParentPK which programs/colleges within the schools?

Rejected.
Stats:

Demographic:

Test Scores:
GPA: uw - 3.849; w - 4.678 out of 4.8; rank 43/703 SAT: 1400 (750M, 650E, 6/6/6 Essay) (October 2017)

HOSA - 4 years; 1st place in state for forensics medicine 2016; 4th place in state for nutrition test 2017
NHS - 3 years; community service and all that jazz
Working Out - 2 years; idk if this counts but I have been regularly working out and find it to be an integral part of my day to day life to relieve stress from school
Tennis - 1 year; varsity letter; don’t think I’m going to do it this year because I’m not very good and have other things to busy myself with
Work - 6 months; Cook at Pizza Hut; plan on staying through senior year so I can save up some money for a laptop and then other college expenses

Awards: 1st place in forensics medicine at state (HOSA 2016); 4th place in nutrition test at state (HOSA 2017); Tennis Varsity Letter - 11th grade; Academic Letter - 10th,11th,12th grade for a GPA over 3.75 for 3, 5, and 7 semesters in a row, respectively; QuestBridge College Prep Scholar 2017; AP Scholar With Honors; QuestBridge National College Match Finalist (did not get matched unfortunately)

@Mom2x2018 It’s a private school, so being a MA taxpayer would be more meaningful if it were a state school like Ohio State or U of Michigan.

SCRATCH THAT–I see you were talking about CA. Too many comments to keep track

all for intended major as Economics. NEU is honors. UNC with scholars program (I think it has some similar name), BU with none of those tags

Accepted into College of Arts and Sciences, but won’t even be an option for me cuz it didn’t say anything about scholarships (no Presidental and no financial aid other than small loans). Kinda sad about that but oh well, wasn’t expecting a scholarship. Anyways, 3.97 UW 4.24 W, 7 AP classes, 35 ACT. Good ECs:
Internship at the Birch Aquarium
Club president and intern with an organization that builds houses in Mexico (im from San Diego)
Volunteer with and training staff intern for AMIGOS de las America’s(youth leadership projects for 1-2 months in Latin America)
Girl Scouts for 12 years
Those are the big ones. Still a little surprised I got in and not waitlisted or something bc I’m oos. Good luck to the rest of y’all!

Accepted into the Boston CGS London program.

Not too happy about it, but at least it’s not a denial.

ALSO FOR FUTURE STUDENTS: I had “your records indicate” that changed to “thank you.”
