@breerachel Congratulations! That is such an honor! With that scholarship there is no mention of loans at all then?
@Brucella018 It doesn’t work that way. BU knows that a certain percentage of scholarship recipients will turn them down. That is factored into the financial aid budget.
No loans at all! It’s truly amazing, I never thought I would be able to actually go to BU because it’s so expensive. So it’s crazy! I’ve been reading posts in this chat and kept seeing that people were noticing that students were either accepted to BU and given aid, or accepted into KHC with no aid and just wanted to show that it wasn’t the case for everyone. However, there are many people in the KHC group chat that are saying they got no aid, or they got the Trustee Scholarship and even a few more Richard D. Cohens! It’s odd how many people in KHC didn’t get aid though.
@breerachel Yes, truly amazing! You are very lucky! Conrgrats again! Would you be willing to share your stats?
@hopeful129 of course! So I’m from Florida, so that should probably be taken into account.

@georgesmom If your student applied as a freshman and you have not received a decision online, call admissions now. All decisions have been released. The actual mailing should be received in a week or so.

If I am in CGS, but know that i want to do engineering, can I take the same classes that a person in the college of engineering would in addition the ones required by CGS?

@TomSrOfBoston Would I be able to start freshman year though? I already know I want to go into Biomedical engineering at this point — so do you think they would allow me to start early so I don’t waste any time in college?
@sagra http://www.bu.edu/cgsnow/academics/pathways/academic-pathways-september-program/eng-biomedical/
@TomSrOfBoston Oh sorry, I didn’t see the link you attached earlier, thank you !!
@TomSrOfBoston What would be the difference however if I pursued a degree of biomedical engineering through CGS versus normally through college of engineering?
Classes can be taken in CGS that will help you pursue a biomedical engineering degree, but in order to get that degree, you must go through the college of engineering. It is called engineering for a reason. You cannit get an engineering degree from the CGS. @sagra
