Getting an Honors college invite does not mean a student is accepted but they only invite top students to apply for the Honors college. The Honors college application and acceptance is separate than school admissions and I have seen admitted Honors college students not get admitted to the campus. Definitely not a guarantee but a good sign.

My kid was just accepted to CPP today. In-state, but not local (Bay Area). Anthropology major, 3.4 gpa, and 3 APs/1 Honors.
