Has anyone had any luck with reaching out to the financial aid office? Might have to call but I had sent an email according to info I found from the portal to finaid@cpp.edu, no response for a week. Iām trying to get a ETA to when a financial package will be ready for viewing.
I called about a 2 weeks ago and someone answered. Asked about WUE. She didnāt sound like she knew a lot of info though. She just said WUE will come out sometime in March! LOL
Still havenāt got any notification yet, itās already march Iām stressed out. btw my intended major is aerospace engineering, if anyone is in a similar situation pls share!
Hi Kohl23, did you ever hear back about housing? I like how Pomona has been communicating and really promoting itself as a destination school, not only commuter. The campus is very beautiful. Housing would be a big piece of the puzzle for my student also because she is non-local and would like that 4-year prototypical college experience.
Housing is not guaranteed for all freshman, but is processed on a first come first serve basis! We recommend filling out your housing application as soon as you are admitted into Cal Poly Pomona! Rooms are given to the students who fill out the application first, so this will help your chances of securing a room. We have about 900 spots in our new freshman dorms and about 400 in our older residential dorms.
Havenāt heard back from CPP. Really scared that I wonāt get in. Itās basically my only option and I saw the acceptance rate was 73, but I see a lot of people saying itās lower.
S25 just heard from CPP today. He was offered the Choice Program and the details are said to arrive in 2-3 days. Major is MechE, 3.91 CS capped GPA, in-state but not local.
My S25 did as well. Same offer, not sure exactly what it means but will see what it says. He has other options at this point for his intended major but curious about the Choice program.
I think kids are offered a few less-impacted majors to choose from. Son hasnāt checked his detailed offer yet. Will ask him later day after he gets home.
