Anyone else able to see classes in the class search tab? I think it gave me an error last time I tried but I can’t fully remember.

Yes to both of the posts above. My son’s daily message is the same and he can search for classes.

They have postponed the start of the year around program until 2025-2026.

Could someone ELI5 please what the year round program would entail? Would it be mandatory? Would it mean taking a different semester off that year? etc.

SLO several years back accepted In-state students a day before the OOS students and would post admission decisions alphabetically by the College starting with College of Agriculture. Things have definitely changed.

Cal State system has 80% in-state students, and UC has closer to 90 percent, which is much higher than UVA’s 65%. We just also have a lot more high school students in general, and most people applying are narrow-minded in the 2-3 CSUs and 5 UCs they want to consider, even though they are all governed by the same board of regents/ trustees and commonly share faculty.

You have it reversed since UC’s are capped at 18% OOS/ International enrolled students so 82% in-state. Other than a few popular campuses, the majority of CSU’s have 90% or higher enrolled in-state students.

I would need to do more digging on your data points because our high school has about 100 acceptances across both the UCs/state schools per year and that’s a good year. (Approx 500 students per class)
In any case this is probably not the place to discuss. Let’s keep it to decision date:)
we received an email about a week ago with a survey asking about our preferences/feelings relating to the year round option.
