Have they ever released on a Sunday?
After back to back waitlists on Friday my hopes for slo are even lower. She didn’t do 5 years of English or 4 years of Spanish so I am sure 90 kids will outperform her. Sigh…
Didn’t someone say there was a note that the site would be down tonight for maintenance? Seems like tomorrow would be a better bet.
Hello does anyone have a date? Last year it was on March 10…
That one was for Pomona
Welcome!
If that is your real name, I encourage you to change it to something more anonymous.
Ah, thanks. Rooting for today, then!
My son was admitted to the most competitive major last year with 4 years of English & 3 years of Spanish. Don’t lose hope!
Don’t lose hope just based on not doing 5 years of English and 4 years of a language. That’s not the only way to get the extra points for extra classes. My son got in for CS in 2022 with only 4 years of English and 3 years of Spanish. His extra classes were in Math and Science. If you look at the old MCA calculator, there are plenty of points to be picked up in other areas.
it really is major dependent. having more English and math helps. having a job helps. good luck. political science at cal poly slo is competitive though if you look at the projection enrollment- https://content-calpoly-edu.s3.amazonaws.com/ir/1/images/Enrollment%20Projections_2023-24.pdf
Do they release decisions on Mondays? Or is it always on Fridays?
Saw someone said they got admitted to SLO over the weekend 3/9 on Reddit. Any validity to this? Anybody else hear back?
I’m certainly not an expert, but I am sure of these two things:
- You can’t always rely on what you read on Reddit - people can say whatever they want on there and lots of people like to stir things up by posting untrue or shocking things.
- If decisions had come out yesterday, this thread would be super busy.
Completely agree. You have to take Reddit posts with a grain of salt.
would they release on a monday?
anyone else see this post from cal poly admissions on insta today? it’s so ambiguous lol. i get that it’s tough to sort thru 80k+ apps but i wish we had some sort of concrete window for decisions.
My application status isn’t asking for my SAT Scores anymore? Did that happen to anyone else or just me?
Seems like decisions are probably not imminent if they feel the need to post that.
it seems so although someone on zeemee just said that last year they posted a similar post on insta 5 days before decisions were released so i’m still hoping for an acceptance wave this week. but who knows maybe we’re all reading into this too much
I’m no expert but have been through this process before and I think the April 1st deadline speaks to all acceptances, rejections, and waitlist decisions. I wouldn’t be surprised if they still release acceptances by the end of this week.
