Hey, do a lot of people usually get waitlisted at SLO? Because I have a pretty low GPA and was surprised to see that I was waitlisted today. Although I do have a very steep upward trend in GPA, I’m not sure if that matters much.

S24 was waitlisted for software engineering. It’s a small program so it’s not surprising. He’ll decline to go on the waitlist (at least not complete the survey) and hopefully that helps someone else. Good luck everyone I hope your kids do well wherever they land, I appreciated this discussion thread.

4.45 GPA, 4 APs including Calculus and Physics, all Honors Classes, 4 years two sports, leadership roles in sports and student council, EC volunteer work. Was going to be a 3rd generation CP SLO student. More than a little disappointed. Applied to 7 UCs, rejected at 6. Accepted at UCSB but not admitted to Engineering. Waitlisted at SDSU. Community College in his future…
