I’m currently on the waitlist and received an invitation to the admitted students day. Did everyone else receive this?
I have seen several waitlisted students receive the email. Last year, waitlisted students were also invited to attend.
Oh thank you. Do you think this could be any kind of indicator or just a spam email?
Not an indicator just giving the waitlisted students the opportunity to visit if they eventually are admitted. Usually waitlisted students are not given much time to accept the decision and cannot fit in a visit if they are unsure.

Has anyone submitted an appeal and heard back from admissions yet?

The admissions office says it takes about 3 weeks to get back to appeal applications.
Anyone else heard back regarding their appeal other than the 1 person that posted? The website states that a decision will be sent in 3 weeks and unfortunately we haven’t heard anything. Submitted the appeal on 3/27.
we have a friend who appealed around the same time you did and heard last week that it was declined/denied/rejected. Hope you have better news…
If anyone is waiting for an appeal after 3 weeks, in our case no news was bad news.
We emailed admissions for a status check and received a reply that said
“Thanks for your email. Your appeal was sent to a formal review and unfortunately it was denied. You should be receiving an official letter in the mail in the near future.”
My question is - don’t all appeals get sent for a “formal review”?
Sorry about your bad news. I know they can’t accept many appeals just because of the small number of available spaces. Yeah the wording is odd - “formal review”. I believe it said we would receive a formal letter in the mail. Maybe they get all dressed up before they review appeals? 
Our appeal was also denied. Denial came via email from VP Strategic Enrollment 2 weeks after appeal submission. Very polite form letter pointing to the selectivity of the major “You applied for admission to the major of Computer Science and competed for admission against 6,269 applicants for the 202 available spaces.” I would think this qualifies as 'formal review"…
yeah they rejected my appeal within about two weeks of sending it after march 27 I think
Thanks for the responses. Never received the official letter appeal denial letter in the mail that the admission officer would be sent in the near future. Other than them replying to the email when I inquired about the status I got nothing- no email and no letter. They did even spell my right name in the email, only the first letter of the name was accurate.

Has anyone heard back from the Waitlist yet?
The official website says July 15, but I’m hoping we start to get responses before then…
Last year there were a few admits at the end of April and a few in June and finally a small wave on July 15 where they announced the closing of the waitlist.
