Cal Poly SLO Class of 2029 Freshman Discussion Thread

can u confirm with him…

I confirmed and posted up thread- he did get it.

My daughter has it and when I click on "math’ it gives her the recommended class to take based on her degree flowchart. Assuming everyones looks like that? Interesting they would do that for all applicants but perhaps its computer generated.

Yes we have that too. Interesting indeed.

S25 had the math placement link last night, and it disappeared this morning.

Same it was there and now gone

Doesn’t SLO do Server maintenance on Wednesday’s? Would that not be the reason for seeing changes to the portal?

Yes. I do see that mentioned last year as a possible explanation.

Us too.

The application portal maintenance update yesterday probably means they will release on Mon, Mar 10, starting at 11:30 am. If one sees an admission decision, then it means admit. If there’s no update, one can conclude that it would be a waitlist or reject towards the end of the month…

1130 Pacific?

Yes, basing on last year’s CC posts.

“If one sees an admission decision”
Where are you saying one would see that? “If there is no update” Again, No update where exactly? Are you referring to emails or in portal, if in portal, where? Are you saying on Monday is when one would see? Thank you.

If one logs into the portal and if there’s a decision, then there should be some form of notification there. Otherwise, it would continue to say “status/awaiting decision”.

My son does not see a change so maybe it means something positive for you guys. Good Luck! I currently have a 2nd year at Cal Poly.

Are there acceptance rates by GPA for Cal Poly like there is for the UCs? e.g. 40% 4.0 and above, etc.

No data like the UC admit rates by Capped weighted UC GPA only the information listed on the Freshman profile which is GPA admit ranges by College.

I wonder what the capped GPA ranges are for out of state applicants that are admitted or are they included here as well with instate admitted applicants?

My understanding of the GPA admit ranges listed is that it includes all admits (In-state, OOS and even International if they are using as an ABC grading system).
