My son didn’t get an email on March 11th until 5pm.
The student does get an email but sometimes the decision appears in your portal before the email goes out.
All 3 of my kids found out through the portal before they got an email later in the evening.
Thank you!
The email has also been known to go into spam, which is where my DS found it in 2023. Your portal will also have a congratulations video if admitted. Good luck!
Nothing here yet either!
Cal Poly admissions office has confirmed - nothing! They don’t know if decisions coming out today
Give me a break. No excuse for this vagueness. SLO - do better.
Yep!
Agreed. It’s disappointing to see decisions released in this manner. Why not release at a set day and time?
It was 3:30 in 2021 but it was in the end of February.
3:25 still nothing
3:30 and still nothing
It’s torture on these kids and us too
In 2023 it was march 10 at 4:00 pm(ish). I know it sucks - but historically, this (lack of defined decision timeframe) is nothing new for them and shouldn’t surprise anyone. They will release them soon - try to be patient and good luck to all the kids!
is it most likely gonna be today though? just the time is not able to be speculated well ?
I feel the way a school handles their admission release could be an indicator of how organized and easy to navigate the school will be overall.
I think they’re all over the place - in 2019 it was a Saturday, March 3 at approx. 10:00 am. They seem to be more consistent date wise the last couple years but it’s anybody’s guess.
Actually not true. My twins are graduating this year. Cal Poly is as organized and easy to navigate as any similar school. And I agree, their undergrad admissions release system is not good. But my son just applied for early admission to the MBA program on Feb 1 and was admitted days before the March 1 projected release.
The parents in the thread need to relax and little and broaden their perspectives. Criticizing a college for releasing admissions decisions during the school day (which is when business hours are and when admissions staff works) is wild. There are many things in life that are uncertain, expecting exact timings for absolutely everything is unrealistic. It will be fine just chill lmao
