Another counselor (one who’s my go-to now) told me that they were placed incorrectly on the application

I know I’m probably rejected at this point but why do they wait to release rejections? I also called them and asked if it goes in waves (admitted, waitlisted, denied) and of course they said no but I think they’re just saying that to be nice about it. I’m almost quite positive that it goes in waves but still quietly hoping for someone to get admitted at this point lol
me too ugh… I know its a rejection based on last years threads but the fact that they wait so long is sooo frustrating 
I just wanna know so I can stop hoping lol.

@junyung2: California public universities (Cal States and UC’s) are legally banned from using race/ethnicity in their admission decisions so your statement is completely wrong.
Waiting to hear back for Agricultural Systems Management, a major that has few applicants and even fewer transfer applicants… major desired and major required done, 3.73 GPA… I had good hopes but not looks like my chances are just getting worse ?

@Gumbymom was just replying to a different poster saying that was the reason for their rejection. Is it still legal to use gender in their admission decisions?
@jinyung2: No gender is also not considered in California public university admissions.

@Gumbymom I made that statement. Guess I was wrong. I just made an assumption based off of an anecdote. Although that then begs the question as to why my friend was accepted and not me. The only difference between her and I was that I had a higher gpa and we both filled out our forms together and 4x checked the regular pplication nd the update as well.
@itstylermydudes: That question I cannot answer. Only SLO admissions can tell you the reason but you did get into UCSB so you have a great option.

I never expected to be accepted, but CPP admitted me so I’m not feeling down
