Yes he can enroll at SLO and if he changes his mind, then withdraw and enroll at SDSU by May 1 and neither campus will care.
Thank you!
Should I be worried that CAL POLY has not dropped their decisions for political science. I have a 4.0 GPA and tons of extracurriculars and two internships and still havenât received an acceptance. Iâm guessing iâm gonna get waitlisted or worse rejected smh.
Those are solid stats you have. Good luck. Pure speculation here as the only source of info is this thread and the reddit one, but no one has reported hearing admission news from majors in ag, poli sci, business, or sociology. Anyone?
Also, there was word from admissions office (again from various threads) that the friday 11:30 am wave was not the only one. So cautiously optimistic but preparing for disappointment cuz havenât heard a peep.
For those planning to go to Open House, it techniically begins Thursday April 10 at night but it really starts on Friday April 11.
Transfer Students will have their own presentation solely for Transfers on Friday April 11 from 2 PM to 3:30 PM and a duplicate presentation from 3:30 PM to 5 PM in case you missed it attending other presentations.
It will be 1 hour of presentation, then 30 minutes of a student panel for Q & A.
If you already know youâre attending Cal Poly, then you donât need to go.
If youâre on the fence about which college to go to, then itâs beneficial to go.
In total, 920 Transfers students are projected for 2025 admissions.
Look at page 3 for a breakdown of each major & it shows the comparison to 2024.
NT = New Transfers
FTF = First Time First Year (Freshman)
Iâve heard some people say they got in for business as a transfer on Reddit. Iâm a business admin major with a 4.0 GPA so Iâm really hoping theyâre releasing more decisions Monday or Tuesdayđ
The way to read the projections & find out your acceptance rate to your major:
Iâll use Computer Science as an example:
- Scroll to page 5
- Locate Computer Science in the left margin
- Scroll to far right across that row under section âFall 2024 Targets/ Projectionsâ
- Under âNTR Targetâ youâll find 70. (4th column from the right)
- Scroll to the left under column âNTR Appsâ youâll find 1,164
Divide 70 into 1,164 = 6% acceptance rate (Projected)
Next:
- Under the middle section âFall 2024 Actualsâ
- Under column âNTR Actualsâ youâll find 45
45 is how many actually got accepted compared to their projection of 70.
Unfortunately, they donât list actual applications they received.
You can compare it to âFall 2025 Planning Estimatesâ
- NTR Targets 70
- NTR Apps 1,043
6.7% Acceptance rate (Projected)
Now do that for your major.
I believe there is a x3 yield (meaning how many they accept to reach the target). So I think you multiply the target by 3 and divide that number by the number of applications. Maybe Iâm misreading your post but I didnât notice you mentioning that.
Thank you - You got it right. I should have gone with the x3.
Instead, I was only using the people who actually decided to attend but that left out the others who also got accepted, but chose to go elsewhere.
Does anyone know if they will release any decisions tomorrow even though itâs a holiday?
I messaged admissions this morning asking if they are open today, and Ill update if I get a response.
I hope everyone else (including me) gets accepted today or tomorrow, Iâve been waiting this whole time, please CAL POLY SLO, come up clutch!
Forget to respond to the thread but I was accepted friday

Approximately, 1 week after Acceptances, check your Financial Aid package located on your portal on the Money Matters tab.
On the right-margin, click View My Financial Aid
Under Aid Year, click 2025 <â The year is a link.
Itâll give you a breakdown and itemized list of your Financial Aid, and whether you were selected as a Cal Poly Scholar.
If you donât see âView My Financial Aidâ in the right margin, then financial aid hasnât been released yet.
Is it normal or odd that when I click âView My Financial Aidâ that it is blank?
Has anyone else been able to view their financial aid package?
*sorry, just saw a previous comment where you mentioned waiting a week!
Cal Poly admissions are Academic Sadists for making you wait until the absolute last day for decisions.
Just tear out their stomach linings, Cal Poly.
Response from Admissionâs via Message âYes, we are not done releasing decisions yet. You will have a decision by 11:59pm today. Thank you for your patience.â

Daughter was accepted today for Mechanical Engineering. She had no decision this morning and then the acceptance when she checked at 11:45am. Sorry I donât have her stats but she is a local SLO county transfer with all transfer requirements met from Cuesta.
Good luck to everyone still waiting.
