CSU GPA 4.19. 4.0 unweighted 4.6 fully weighted (not that they use it). 21 AP/honors/DE before senior year with Max rigor. No hooks. In state. Engineering
Son also received the email on Wednesday (1/31) inviting him to apply to the Honors program. He’s our first/only. We’re sure hoping this invite is a good sign of good admissions news to come.
No news yet but the email received when checking admissions status has changed. Does that mean anything?

We have completed an initial review of your application. Due to the volume of applications received during our admission process, we will not begin sending admission decisions until February. Your application has been reviewed and we have determined that you are on track to meet CSU minimum requirements. Your application will now be considered in the admission review process. We will begin making admission decisions in February and appreciate your patience during this process. We will contact you by email, so check your email account regularly for messages from CSULB. Be sure to respond to our requests as soon as possible but no later than the deadline given.
Just giving applicants an update on their decision process. Please note that CSULB receives the most applications overall Freshman and Transfers out of the whole CSU system so if decisions are delayed, they are trying to keep the applicants updated.
Last year was Feb 3 and historically within the first 2 weeks of February. None of the Cal states will give a specific date for decisions and the CSU decisions are rolling through April 1. CSU Fullerton just started posting some decisions today.
Status email changed again. Could it be a sign decisions are coming???
02/09/24 ## The current status of your application:
Your application is currently under review. We will notify you by email should we need any additional documents. Please be sure to respond to requests for documents as soon as possible, but no later than the specified deadline. We will make every effort to provide you with a timely decision. Please be sure to check your email regularly for messages from CSULB regarding any admissions decisions, upcoming deadlines or required documents.
Daughter checked her applicant self-service page and the status shows “You have been offered provisional admission”. Under that it shows "Congratulations! You have been offered provisional admission to CSULB. Your official admission notice will be sent soon and once received you may begin accepting your offer of admission! "
It might have just updated (there is no email yet).
