That’s helpful. Thanks for posting.
Damn, San Diego State’s Explore SDSU Admitted Student Day is also on the same day! Now I think it’s intentional so that you can only attend one.
same dilemma over here. good problem to have i guess?
I just searched SJSU’s admitted Spartan day, and of course, it’s 4/13! So it seems all CSUs have the same date for admitted student day.
Not necessarily. Sac State’s admitted student day is April 27 and SSU’s is April 20th. My daughter will be able to attend either CSUF or SDSU’s admitted student days, plus CSUS and SSU.
Definitely a little disappointed with this one for D24.

Yes! Was just going to also add CSU Monterey and CSU San Marcos are on April 6 (along with UC Davis); You can only squeeze in so many Saturdays between decision releases and SIR deadline (May 15/June 1)
I’m a Sac State alum and recently did another visit – still such a beautiful campus and much more modern than when I was there!
How did you get this number? CSULB has not released Common Data Set numbers for fall 2023 admissions yet.
Admission Data
The CSU dashboard has released 2023 admission information.
Does the UC publish something similar?
See my PM.

** my child’s oos school does not offer any honors/AP/IB classes, so…
I was actually very curious how the CSU’s would regard her application, given the lack of AP/IB/DE – not taken, but none were offered, either. Seems that there was no penalty – if anything, it helped, somehow?
She’s in at Pomona, as well
Congrats.
Definitely visit the campuses. Personally, I prefer LB over Pomona for location and neighborhood.
Congrats! You can watch virtual tours of the schools on Youtube for a preliminary assessment. Make sure to research the total student enrollment for each school since CSULB has a much larger student body than CPP. Importantly, CSULB’s Biochem program is ranked much higher than CPP.
Correcting my D24s stats…
CSU Capped Weighted GPA : 3.74

Number of a-g courses taken 9-12th: 30

Hi. When did you get your acceptance to SJSU? My son is still waiting to hear.
SJSU sent an email on Feb 8 titled “SJSU has news for you” and asked my son to check portal. But my son checked the portal the previous day and already saw the acceptance.
I would try to go to both since the drive isn’t impossible. Admitted day at Long Beach won my kid over and that’s why they’re there today.
Thanks! I agree, but he really has his heart mostly set on CSUF. They make the timing of the events pretty rough to hit both, LB starts at 9:00 with the welcome event and the college showcases starting at 10:00. We could probably get out of there by noon and to Fullerton by 12:30-12:45, but Fullerton’s is only 10:00 - 2:00, so we’d miss the “welcome” portion of the Fullerton one. Possibly we’ll do CSUF and then LB, just miss the LB welcome event and hit the college showcase before they’re done at 3:00.
Edited to add: I grew up in LB so I’m trying to make sure he takes a good, hard, fair look at everything LB has to offer while he still has time to think it over. We’ve visited a couple of times already but working on getting him to hit LB after CSUF on 4/13.
