Daughterās OOS status email was the same message āYour application is currently under review.ā on 2/10/24, 2/11/24 and 2/12/24. She checked today 02/13/24 and it says āYour application for admission has been denied. Unfortunately, you have not been offered admission to CSULB at this time. Pleas see the email we sent you for details.ā But she hasnāt received any email yet. Iām sure it will come later.
Anyway, good luck to everyone else. She is visiting SDSU (accepted) and UCSD (pending) at the end of the month. She is thrilled with her SDSU acceptance.

@Gumbymom, can you share your insight as to why CSULB is more popular than any other CSU?
To be honest, I really do not have any special insight to why CSULB is more popular than the other CSUās. For Freshman, it is only slightly more popular (application #ās) than SDSU.
High Ranking for Social Mobility, Value and Diversity
Maybe the Beach appeal???
Accepted (2/14)

Major: pre-child development and Family studies
3.7 UW/4.45 W. CSU 4.0-4.15?
(There are so many GPAs for all the different apps that I am losing track of which was which, but these are close)
Very high rigor/Full IB Diploma/Full CTE certificate/Biliteracy seal/high volunteer and work hours
Accepted 2/9. Surrounding area public. Pre-Bio. 4.7W. Average EC, lots of volunteer hours.
The CSU GPA is in the only GPA considered by CSULB so posting this GPA (found on the CSU application) is more helpful in when listing the students information.
Son is considering LB & Fullerton for Business - Accounting. Turns out they both have admitted students day on the same day. Heās planning to attend the CSUF day. Any tips on getting a look or possible other options outside of admitted day at CSULB? Too bad they have to be on the same day, he could pretty much go any other day.
I took my daughter on a tour of Fullerton and a tour of Long Beach on the same day. It was about a 35-40 minute Uber ride between schools. Any chance you could possibly spend a little bit of time at both schools?
Yeah, we live within driving distance for both, about the same distance from each. Weāve done the tours. I was more interested in the admitted day as it would seem heād get a better look at his actual departments heās been accepted to and such. Not sure if we can reach out to get such access directly, weāll give it a shot.
Congrats Kk042!!! My dtr was also accepted at: CSLB, Fullerton and CPP for Bio major.
WGPA 3.9. So Cal.
Sorry to hear that. Good Stats. Business is an impacted and very competitive major at many campuses. Did u guys apply to other campuses?
I had a friend take his kid to both Admitted student days and just split their time. They went to CPP and then headed over to LB. Do you know anyone at LB that could give you a personal tour? Weāre in the same boat, so Iām going to do mini tours with my daughter to revisit a few school outside of the admitted student days.
Yeah, we were thinking of doing both on that day but the timing just doesnāt seem to work. Heās actually spent a lot more time at Fullerton already so Iām encouraging him to do the Long Beach admitted day, but weāll see what he ends up deciding to do. We donāt have any personal friends there or anything.
When is the admitted student day for both CSUF and CSULB?
Hereās the info for both schools:
CSULB: 4/13 DAY AT THE BEACH
CSUF: 4/13 Experience CSUF: Become a Titan
