I wonder why mine is not working, then. Surprised that ABP is still working well for everyone.
@emilybee How come you are in jail?! Glad to see you can still post from there!
^ it’s one of my”super powers.”
@emilybee ROFL
I use adblock plus for Chrome and haven’t noticed any difference, much less a “disaster.”
For Safari you coudl try Magic Lasso.
Just last week I installed Adblock Plus on my iPad for Safari. I’d did it solely because of the Amazon pop-up (You’ve won an Amazon giftcard!) spam. I isolated it to CC…it must be embedded deep in the servers, because I would clear everything out and would not receive it on any other website until I loaded CC. I updated ios, cleared cookies, cache, etc., etc. I did everything the Apple support forums described. Eventually it got so bad that I could not load any website without it popping up and I wasn’t able to clear it. Hence my research that suggested Adblock Plus seemed to help.
I downloaded the free app version, set up per the easy to follow directions, and have not had an issue since. Just my experience, but if hopefully it can help you with whatever problems you are having. Good luck!
I don’t mind seeing ads on desktop.Besides, my major is Marketing, so it’s even interesting. But on my phone… They just drive me crazy. I switched to Free Adblocker Browser recently. Much better than Chrome
They’re back
Me too
Still no ads for me with adblocker plus.
And no ads for me with Adblocker Plus either, on Chrome. I’ve used Adblocker for years. Love it.
I use AdBlock Plus and Firefox. No ads ever.
