Yes, I figure my D25 will also have to submit scores through the portal because I think for privacy or whatever reason, the common app e copy does not have my D25 test scores in there even though she inputted it. It only says the she is not test optional. Thank you.

Hello: My son filed his Early Decision application on Thursday, October 31st. He received an email stating that Case Western received his application, but he has not yet received an email with the information he would need to log into his application portal (to make sure that Case received all the necessary information.) Have others received that email? Thanks!

He will receive this portal info. soon. CWRU’s portal is the most complicated as well. My D25 had to set up a zoom meeting with them in order to get this straight. There was a glitch. Tip: when you enter the code they sent, do not just copy and paste. They told me D25 that it’s best to enter manually. Good luck.

D25 applied EA. Are ED decisions expected this week? With EA decisions approx 2 weeks later?

Did anyone (EA/ED) receive any communication from Case? My daugther, who applied for engg, hasn’t received anything beyond the engineering overview sessions so far.
We heard that Case will send a lot of email communication but we haven’t seen anything of such nature so far.

Do you mean informational emails? Yes D25 and I receive a lot. Perhaps they are going to spam?

I could not find any emails even after actively looking for them in spam/trash folders. Not sure what we r missing. Would you mind describing what type of email you may have received this week, by any chance?

We received one on Saturday entitled “CWRU is the place for you to gain experience”.

After checking the CWRU portal for my son yesterday, I was surprised to see they were still awaiting his test scores. He swore he submitted them via the Common App, but as I had my doubts (lol), we double checked. There seemed to be a weird glitch for Case in that his ACT scores showed up for every other school he’s applying to but not Case. His AP scores, however, were displayed for Case.

When you submit the Common App, it lists items that each school chooses not to receive from Common App. For Case, one of those things is the SAT/ACT section. They accept self-reports in the portal. I have no idea why but we’ve come across a few schools who do it this way.

Yes, quickly add the scores. CWRU is like that. We were very surprised too. Like you and your son, my D25 also put down her scores but it wasn’t showing up. So, we had to use their uploading doc to do it. My D25 submitted her app on Oct 14 and sent in her scores on Oct 26. She applied EA.

Are the ED decisions coming out today? Does anyone know?

Their website says the ED decisions are coming out “on or about” December 7th (tomorrow.)
