How does one dust that master bath sconce??

Compressed-gas duster?

Luckily that sconce went back. I’m having trouble returning some of the large kitchen lights because they have to be picked up by carrier freight. The boxes are too large for UPS or Post Office. But I’ve got to get them back because that’s about $3,000!

I’ll try PM of link to ya.

Thank you - got the link. It looks amazing, I love watching you put these houses together. I have such a bad eye for that stuff and I dream of flying you to Florida to redo my entire house. :joy:

Got the third light just in the nick of time

Looks really good.

The geometrics of the lights work well with the geometrics of the hood.

The lights are really nice - great choice. I’m intrigued by the island with cabinet doors on both sides (assuming there are doors on the stove side too).

We have a large island that is basically two rows of cabinets with a quartz top. Very handy!

@coralbrook that looks so well put together. Nice design work!

My last house had cabinets on both sides of the island. I put stuff I didn’t use very much on the seating side. Not the most practical.

I like having cabinets on the seating side for items we don’t use often. We don’t have handles on the doors on that side… the doors have the push release mechanism to open. so it isn’t obvious there are doors on that side at all.

@coralbrook I love how everything is coming together!

The cabinets on the back of the island are basically there to create a really large island space. I put handles on the cabinet doors because she loves bling. The overhang is longer than normal, about 14", so I’m hoping noone really hits the handles.

I just loaded more photos into the group with explanation. I am seriously doubting my color choice for the island cabinet (Graphic Charcoal). The range and hood are a deeper charcoal black and the island is lighter. The picture shows it much lighter than it is because afternoon sun was hitting it. I"m hoping that the countertop creamy grey and stove tile backsplash with some grey in it might tie it all together. I just didn’t want a stark black cabinet, I wanted a softer charcoal for the island.

Also loaded some photos of the beautiful chandelier that will be hanging above the freestanding bathtub. Of course it is a different gold than all the other golds in the room. I am beginning to hate gold for fixtures and accents. Not one thing comes in at the same gold as other things in the room. It is a nightmare. I haven’t put all the crystals on the chandelier yet because I only hung two to get a gauge of how high to raise chandelier. If I put all the crystals on now they would be knocked off by all the guys/ladders still being used in there

I feel your pain with the various shades and finishes of gold! I switched out all the brushed nickel when I purchased my current house for brushed antique gold… but it seems every manufacturer has a different formula for that! After figuring that out (and many returns/exchanges), I went with matte black on door knobs and most faucets and handles and used the gold more sparingly where I wanted a statement. Of course, my budget is quite different from your client’s so I didn’t want to have to change everything out in 5-10 years when trends change. The matte black will be timeless in my craftsman with transitional decor.

Sorry to overshare! Seeing all your creations is so fun!

Yes, we have installed new door knobs and hinges on every door and I went with black iron matte which matches the architecture of the house better. Not winning the design battle of matching anything else to the architecture of the house :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

But the doors in the house are the raised panel style of doors so they don’t really fit well right now. They are all still the brown wood, don’t know if she is going to want to paint those but it doesn’t matter anyway because we don’t have a painter

Have started the cleanup phase but it’s always a losing battle because the guys are still tramping around everywhere making messes. Still have to plumb in 5 faucets and drains so it’s still going to be a mess for days. Desperately trying to scrub out the bathroom and floors and keep it clean and dry long enough to apply sealer everywhere. Cannot seem to find a window when someone doesn’t need to be in there

I bought 3 large container bins. My strategy for cleaning up each room is I’m throwing all the loose crap into the bins and shoving the bins into the kids rooms

I like the color of the island. It doesn’t bother me that it’s lighter than the hood/stove.
