Did you apply for any other schools? Most of the school would be consider reach or high target given your wGPA, Engineering major and OOS. You need some safety. I would consider Ohio State target since it is in state. Good Luck.

Thanks! Already got into Ohio State and my safety schools.

I’d need to calculate it as the school doesn’t provide it. Let me update that tonight.

Nice! Other than Purdue, I would not consider other schools from your list over tOSU for Aerospace Eng. Good Luck.

Acceptances
Ohio State
Penn State
Embry-Riddle
Minnesota
Case Western

Pending EA Results
Purdue
UIUC
Virginia Tech
Maryland
UC Boulder
Rensselaer
University of Toronto (Canadian parent)

Some of these schools have amazing Aero/Astro programs with many connections to the space industry.

I’m weighing between tOSU and Penn State right now, but waiting on the others. PSU has an incredible new engineering campus and is increasing its faculty. I was really impressed.

Appreciate any thoughts!

Unfortunately Purdue is a no. That was a surprise, given I was mostly in their range and ECs. We though deferral at least.

Pursuing Aerospace Engineering, but mostly interested in Astronautical. 2 year NASA internship gave me the bug to follow my dreams!

Accepted (and considering):

  • Ohio State (accepted into Engineering Scholars, setting up for success)
  • Penn State (incredible new engineering campus, growing Aerospace faculty)
    (others no longer in consideration)

Pending:

  • University of Maryland (amazing connections to NASA and Space Research Lab)
  • Virginia Tech (loved the campus and the new facilities)
  • CU Boulder (serious dedication to astronautics, but concerned about strength of the school beyond engineering)
  • UIUC (Phenomenal school, big reach… known for support, but not as much astro)
  • University of Toronto (Canadian parent, Top 20 program worldwide, concerned about out of country for anything medical)

Thank you for any thoughts as I anticipate more responses and weigh my options!
