Dickinson College
Ithaca College
RIT (rochester)
RPI
The first meets need. Run the NPC. But at $185k, itâs unlikely to get where you need. The last three can be aggressive but I canât imagine close to where u need.
Err, you do. @tsbna44 suggested Lafayette, which meets need and is a terrific school for science.
Dickinson and RIT are two others worth running the NPC on.
What about Drew, have you run the NPC? They donât offer full financial aid but can get aggressive with merit aid (and youâre from NJ). You could go visit - itâs in Madison.
Or take the virtual tour
You donât have stats for Princeton but you do have excellent stats. Donât sell yourself short. ![]()
Iâd add F&M and Union. Both strong in science. Both meet need. Both not far from home. See what the NPC shows. I donât expect favorability but you never know. Lehigh (and Lafayette) as well.
Budget is what matters. Why wouldnât you run the NPCs?
Thank you Iâll check them out.
Another college i was thinking of as a reach was Amherst. Any thoughts on this?
High high reach. If you are looking that far out, add Brandeis, Connecticut and why not Oberlin and Denison. All a stretch but far more likely.
This thread has gotten a bit long. What thread did @twogirls give you? I hope you also read through the thread I linked about other health care related careers.
$185K for what?
Itâs a high reachâŠwith a very low %age of accepted students. And many of the high percentage who get rejected have better stats than what you have posted here. The school is test optional
Too high a reach. You need to aim below the Princeton-level.
You need meet need/merit colleges such as Lafayette or Dickinson or perhaps Connecticut College (not âuniversityâ) where you stand a good chance at admission and have a decent shot at sufficient aid either from full FA or a combination or Fa+merit.
Wheaton MA? Muhlenberg? St Lawrence?
what my parents make
She gave me another thread for health care careers
Its fine, I was just thinking about it, Iâm not applying to schools like that.
Thumper gave you that
Sorry I misremembered
Everything else is higher or similar amount
Doesnât look right for 185k/6ppl unless your parents own a business or own several houses for rent. And no merit for sure.
But if you completed the NPC correctly, Lafayette is way too expensive. Cross it out.
Is it the same for Dickinson, Union
Try this

In order to beat Rutgers, you need a full tuition scholarship, meaning big merit.
Or get admitted to one of the âfree tuition for family income 200k or lessâ colleges, which are Hail Marys.
Are you done with the NJ colleges (and their honors/special programs apps if relevant)? Not just Rutgers and TCNJ, but also Rowan and more?
His parents salary -I think yes, check all the NPCs but I canât imagine getting a $20k COA to match Rutgers tuition. Just saw the $54k. I can believe it.
Rutty is a fine school - just prefer not being home bound. It thereâs tradeoffs - so youâll be fine.
I finish all there intial apps (Rutgers is done- got into newark).
TCNJ and rowan i got bsmd supps.
Did not do NJIT though and donât have an interest in rest.
Got into SUNY binghamton
