I would second this. For STEM-focused students, Institut Teknologi Bandung is well-regarded outside of Indonesia and I’ve seen a number of ITB graduates go on to top graduate schools globally.

Have you also considered applying to universities in Southeast and East Asia? Some of them provide generous scholarships to strong students from emerging markets, such that the net cost will be below US$20K/year. Moreover, a growing number of them (e.g., NUS, HKU, CUHK) have very strong reputations internationally.
