Best of luck!
Thank you!
Have the coaches talked to you about the possibility of doing a year of 9th grade and re-classing as a 9th grader again? It seems like you have the stars aligned the right way. I am curious how they, and you, are looking at that advantage for hockey moving forward.
Yes, I have talked to a handful of schools and some have mentioned it however my family does not want me to reclassify as for them it is more important that I go to a boarding school for the academics first, therefore we see hockey as more of an aid to my application and not the playing time/being on varsity as an end all be all for the decision. Additionally I am not against the idea of playing JV as I can get exposure in split season and elite spring hockey tournaments.
We have the same mindset with the balance of sports, academics and extracrriculars. If you get in, you go!
